Slatwall Panel Kit (2-Piece)

I have installed several different slatwall products. This "fit and finish" of this product is definitely above average in quality and appearance. I planned to use these in my shed but because the appearance is so nice they may actually end up in a closet or mudroom of my house. The panels come with top and bottom rails to improve the installed look. It is a flexible system that can be linked either top and bottom or side to side, or install each panel on it's own.

I’m not thrilled with this garage storage system. It was somewhat complex to install-requires stud placement and overall took a long time. I only got 2 panels and cannot image trying to install a full wall of this. After install I realized that the hooks/hardware for hanging/storing items were not included. I went to my Home Depot local store to find that they don’t sell this system in store but the sales lady suggested I try the hooks they have for another system.....got home and they don’t fit. Went to order hooks/etc online and found them to more expensive that the panels and will take 2 wks to arrive. So, I can’t say how the actual finished product works but I’m so frustrated already I would not recommend.

The NorskTrack NSNT2PK Panel Kit has a nice clean white finish and adds class storage. The kit includes two panels plus the trim to have a clean finish to all edges. The kit does not come with any storage hooks, but they are available at the Home Depot for purchase separately, and it appears that you can use a variety of hooks from different manufacturers. Installation was easy and looks great.

This is a basic 2 panel kit to get you started on using the slatwall by Norsk. The kit is complete with hardware that allow you to have 5 square foot of usable wall area. Studying the included instructions the kit is easy to hang with some basic tools like a stud finder, pencil, tape measure, level and a drill. The PVC material is easy to cut to length and drill yet seems to have good shear strength, which is important when hanging objects from the slatwall. The kit does not come with any hooks or attachments so be sure to get some when purchasing this kit.

I have used metal panel kits before, but never plastic. I was pretty concerned about whether or not it would hold up to the wear and tear. My concerns were definitely unfounded! The plastic that this is made out of is really thick and heavy duty. It will definitely get marked up and scratched, but I'm not worried about that since it is in the garage!

What a very useful addition to my garage! We have found all kinds of attachments that will easily hold our biggest tools. This is very rumple too install and comes with what you need. Be sure to install directly into the wall studs. It is made of rigid plastic and overlaps similar to shiplap installation. This is simple to use and feels sturdy. I would recommend for personal or retail use.

I have used a couple different wall organizational systems, one is a slatwall and the other a track. The benefit of this design is that it can be both. This particular kit consists of twp Norsk panels, you can install them end to end to make a track or connected to make a small slatwall, and by small I mean 4 ft wide by 18" tall. Norsk includes enough trim/finish pieces to install it either way. I am impressed with how easily it installs, how professional it looks and its strength. The Norsk hooks are awesome, but not in the store. I can confirm that Gladiator hooks do work, but they're not as good as Norsk's

I have installed hundreds of square feet of slatwall in a former retail career. I was aware of the versatility of slatwall. I was needing a storage solution in my small shed and thought I would give the Norsk Slatwall Panel Kit (2-Piece) a try. My kit came in missing the metal Dowels and E-Clips; not really a big deal for this installation. Otherwise all other parts were carefully packed and virtually undamaged. My shed does not have interior drywall, so I was attaching the slatwall to bare studs. I already had a defined horizontal line to attach to so all the leveling/plumbing instructions didn’t apply. One thing the instructions (both printed and the online video) overlooked is the absolute need to tap each component (after the top rail) into place using a mallet. I used a mallet with a rubber and a plastic face, using the plastic face. This omitted step is necessary to seat the hook and grove of the opposing pieces together snugly. If the pieces are not correctly seated, you stand the risk of the slatwall pulling away once loaded, or if you are installing an entire wall of product, alignment would be an issue.. Once I identified the above necessary procedure, the install went forward easily. I had to cut around 2 electric boxes and that was simple with a saber saw. The side pieces were easily cut with a PVC tubing cutter. When I went to install the side pieces, the instructions were once again deficient and confusing. The pictograph shows the orientation of the side trim not in the final orientation. Instructions were also very vague with how to utilize the “high clip” (not sure how they arrived at that name). As it turns out, the clip slides under the rounded area of the Norskwall where a dowel would otherwise go. (See images) One thing of note, the different components of the slatwall were not cut to identical lengths. Even though the differential was only a 1/16” or so, there is no excuse in today’s computer-aided design and cutting. With all the inadequate instructions overcome, the product looks great. It may be functional in addressing my need for additional wall storage. Unfortunately, I cannot attest to durability since the starter kit did not come with any hooks so I could not test the slatwall load bearing properties. UPDATE A WEEK LATER: Come to find out, the Norsk Slatwall does not accept normal slatwall hooks. The slat openings are too wide for traditional hooks. Your are stuck using Norsk accessories. With 6” and 10” hooks nearly $10.00 each, you will have quite the investment depending on the amount of hooks you need. I was able to use some other hooks but had to secure them with a screw to keep the hook in place. Can I recommend this product? Not so much. If you are looking for a premium product at a premium price, this might work out for you if you have an unlimited budget. If you are like most people I know, affordable pegboard and pegs are what I will stick with.

This two panel kit will result in a 48.75" x14.75" organizational system when stacked. The material is a white PVC plastic which when secured to studs seems very sturdy. The kit does not include any hooks, bracket or storage accessories. This can be disappointing if you don't have any compatible hooks laying around or haven't bought any. I found the assembly easy with the exception of the side trims which have to be cut to size and where a major pain to install. The reason for my Average rating is for not including any storage accessories. The kit includes two top and bottoms rails which allow you to assemble with the two wall panels side by side instead of stacked. If stacked then you will have a spare top and bottom rail. The kit did include the manual and all the hardware for assembly and mounting. All mounting screws are hidden by the panels for a clean look. Instructions where not sufficiently clear and at times confusing. By buying additional panels and trim pieces you can connect to this kit and make the storage system take up as much space on a wall as you can afford. Loose particles and dirt seem to attach themselves easily to the plastic material

Pretty straight forward to install. Material is kind of like plastic similar to outside plastic trim. Just mark up the studs and screw the top row in. Then click in the remaining tracks and screw those into the studs as well. I just ordered another row and a bunch of add on clips to hang all of my outdoor tools like takes and shovels. I like the white and it helps to hide the defects in the Sheetrock as well.
