Do not buy this appliance
I purchased this fireplacs to use more or less as a decorative item in my Florida home. It worked for a little more than a year. I mostly used it around the winter holidays. In 2018 it started making a strange noise when I turned it on just for the flame feature. By the fall of 2019 it stopped working all together. So disappointed since I used it so infrequently I thought it would have lasted much longer, even if the heat function didn't work. Now I have this useless piece of junk in my home.

Bought this for our basement in Chicagoland. Our English basement is huge (7 1/2 foot ceilings) and this little thing keeps it warm. It doesn't make it 80 degrees, but it definitely makes a difference in the entire basement. You can see the photo for reference to its size. Our TV is 55 inches. Heat blows from the top rather than the bottom which is nice. The heat travels up quicker in to the space around it. Realistic looking flames. Well made. Slightly curved glass front.

I had to return this unit after a month of...
I had to return this unit after a month of having it as it no longer heats up. I actually noticed the decline about 2 weeks after getting it but I figured that I was missing something on the settings. I was never able to get a decent heat output any longer.

Beautiful! I was quite happy when I turned it on...
Beautiful! I was quite happy when I turned it on for the first time because the flames look better than I’d hoped. Very realistic! I haven’t used the heater feature yet so I can’t comment on that. I mainly bought it for the look and the cozy ambiance it provides. Very pleased with my purchase.
