You cut the strip to the size you want, soak it in water a minute or 2 (either a bath tub or large cooler). Make sure it is completely soaked, be careful though the longer it soaks the more likely it may tear. Then apply to walls and take a cloth and smooth all bubbles out and make sure it is completely adhered to the walls. Give it at least 24 hrs or so before painting.

In the UK wallpaper is sold in bolts which is 2 single rolls, I assume the same in the USA,

Yes you can paste it, you will find that it is much easier to install when pasted versus using a watertray. However you must understand that just because you use a strippable paste does not mean that you will not see evidence of wallpaper once it is removed. The paste you put on the "prepasted" paper WILL activate the paste on the back of this. Even though I believe you will be much happier installing this using paste I would recommend that you use a high quality wall prep on the wall surface before installing so that removing it will not be a huge problem, especially when you are talking just a few years. Using that along with the strippable paste will make the end result much easier to manage.
