Norway Spruce is a fast growing evergreen tree with a pyramidal shape. Branches turn upwards with the smaller branches weeping gracefully. Needles emerge bright green in spring turning a glossy dark green. The mature height is 40 ft. to 60 ft. tall and a spread of 25 ft. to 30 ft. This large scale tree is great for large areas, windbreaks and screening. Prefers full sun and moist soils, but is adaptable to many sites. Hardy in zones 2 to 7.

They can be but use hay to cover base to keep from roots freezing.
