How does it attach to vinyl siding? Or is it attached to the door frame?

AnswerYou will want to attach the awning over the door. You will need a minimum of 3" over the door to allow a storm or out swinging door clearance. If you are attaching the mounting bar to siding you will need spacers and or a small ledger board because you will want the mounting area to be level and secure.
