I use the 2 1/2 to build shelving, I planed on doing the same thing your talking about. In the end I just used the gun and put in a few more nail's to hold it.

A true finish nail has no head so it will not show on the finished item. This nailer shoots headless nails. You’ll have to get a framing
nailer to drive nails with heads.
Will it work with 3/4" plywood? Thanks.
Asked by tbone December 17, 2018
Yes. This nailer will drive 2-1/2" nailes into 3/4" plywood. But, is a finish nail the proper fastner to nail the plywood down for your application!

I used to do trim work leading a crew for my father in law, this nail gun would be perfect for trim work. I built a custom closet with it as well and was very pleased with the quality.
what is the warranty for this nailler

Has anyone used this to blind nail 3/4" oak strip flooring into a plywood subfloor and had success ?
Asked by Art April 17, 2018
I used a pneumatic floor stapler on the majority of my oak floor. When reaching the wall where there was insufficient room to use the floor stapler, I used this straight nailer and it performed very well.
Great Nailer. I just wanted a 16 GA nailer, and this Numax works just fine. Solid build. Weight is just right, not too heavy. Drives 2 1/2 inch finish nails right in. I adjusted PSI on my compressor to around 95 PSI and nails went right through a 2x4 with no issues. See photo 2. Great deal at that price too. Would recommend.
Installed a 3/4 in. Pine tongue and groove ceiling on my farmers porch. The nailer was flawless and very easy to use, it made the project much easier. Should have bought one years ago. I would highly recommend this product and this company as this is the second power tool I have bought from them having previously purchased a Numax pneumatic stapler to install all the hardwood floors in my house.
This has been a sturdy, solidly built tool so far. I am using it to install new trim and casings throughout the house. Having used a variety of other air powered brad, staple and nail drivers, I found the "Single Sequence Mode" firing system awkward at first. The instructions mention this firing style, but fail to articulate fully how this mode works. Essentially you have to make sure to completely lift the nailer off the work piece and release the trigger before it will finish cycling and load for the next shot. It has been running smoothly without any jamming despite being fed a variety of fastener brands and sizes. A solid tool so far.
