The Oatey Quadtro Washing Machine Outlet Box is made for commercial or residential applications where supply valves and waste drains are recessed into the wall. The proprietary lock and load valves enable left, right or center positioning of the drain pipe. This easy-to-install box includes all necessary support brackets to mount the water supply valves from the top or bottom. While planning out a bathroom makeover, I decided I am going to relocate the washer and dryer and add a small laundry room in the basement. The Quadtro washing machine outlet box was the perfect choice to keep a nice, clean, and professional look. Having the hammers is a great feature as well. It has multiple placement options for any water / drain configuration. You also have the option to either sweat or thread on the copper tubing. This is a well thought out and well constructed upgrade for any washing machine set up. As always, if you are not a plumber, hire a professional to do the job right the first time.

This washing machine outlet box is a nice complete package. The box itself is standard plastic with a removable face plate which you install after the drywall and painting is complete. The hot and cold lever valves are nice quality with a "hammer arrester" on the top of each valve. This "hammer" is not always needed but it is nice to have them on each valve just in case. This is an easy and complete kit needing only for you or your plumber to "sweat" in the copper water lines and glue in a PVC drain pipe. Full instructions are included both on the box and on a paper inside the box.

An all-in-one purpose built product
The Oatey Quadtro washing machine outlet boxes is designed for use in both commercial and residential applications. Connections are copper sweat connections. The box is made of high impact polystyrene and has 4 support brackets included for mounting (see photos). The snap-on faceplate frame accommodates up to 1" drywall. The drain opening is designed for 2'' material and works with both PVC and ABS. The integrated water hammer arrestors work as advertised and save space because the arrestors are installed in the recessed box in the wall. Prior to installing this product individual water hammer arrestors were installed directly on rear supplies of the washing machine which required additional space between the wall and the machine.
Note - I had not yet moved the plumbing for the drain over from the original washer supply box when I took the photos. There were no issues installing the new ABS plumbing for the drain into this unit.

Works great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We needed to move snd redesign our washer and dryer space and this washing machine outlet box by Oatey fits the bill. The water hammers keep the noise down do there is no more loud banging if pipes each time we do a load if laundry. Easy to install box is recessed and out of the way. Easy turn off and on.

Easy install!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed to redo the laundry room for my wife, and this new washing machine outlet box is perfect. It was easy to install (as long as you know how to sweat pipes) and didn't take long to complete...about 2 hours but only because the existing outlet box pipes needed cutting.
The spigots are sturdier, are easier to turn on and off, and no longer cause a leaking hazard...my wife is thrilled!

Works great and Easy to install
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m just an average guy and somewhat know how to be a handyman but it was super easy to install myself, just watched a video on how to sweat the copper to the piece and I didn’t have to pay a plumber to come do it.

Nice upgrade
