Product Details

Oatey 102 Series Solvent Weld Shower Drain With Receptor Base is for use with preformed shower stall bases. The drain receptor base integrates the body locknut, which allows for easier installation. Install the complete assembly to the shower base first and solvent weld assembly into place as base is set; or, solvent weld the receptor, set the shower base and then thread the barrel in from the top. The drain top accommodates Oatey 4-1/4 in. Universal Snap-Tite Strainers. Oatey products have earned the trust of plumbing professionals for over 100 years.

A:  This part does not come in a size to fit a 1 1/2" pipe. We offer a no caulk drain that is able to be adapted to a 1 1/2" pipe. Contact technical@oatey.com for details.

          This is intended for new construction but if you have the same type already installed the top portion is threaded into the part that is solvent welded to the drain pipe that is under your shower pan. You can simply unscrew the old unit and screw in the new one. Or you can remove the stainless drain cover and use to to replace your old one as long as they are both 4 ¼ in. I used the strainer to replace a damaged and badly discolored one, it fit perfectly.
