This is a really cool system for mounting laminate floor boards to your walls and add a lot of style. The kit allows you to mount flooring boards horizontally or vertically and gives instructions to help with the spacing on the wall. Once the rails are mounted you'll have to rip the tongue off the first board that is going against the wall (or ceiling if horizontal). Once the first board is mounted, you use the little brackets that have the clear plastic tag to guide and mount the rest of the boards. Make sure that your rails are perfectly level before you start adding boards. Otherwise everything will be off from there. This kit does not come with the tools referenced in the instructions. Those have to be ordered separately

I'm sorry, but if you're going to spend good money for an installation kit, it should make the job noticeably easier. I can't really say that this kit does that. No screws or anchors included, so you are immediately making another trip to the store...an “optional” tool kit, which is needed, that should be included with the kit...instructions at first glance that seem pretty good, but then you are sitting there for a half an hour trying to figure out what they mean...when you go to consult the installation video they provide, they blast through each step so fast that it doesn't really help! Plus, when you weigh in the fact that you could just glue the planks up, easy peasy, and be done with it, this kit only really make sense in certain limited situations (like on brick, or if you think you’ll want to change the flooring color later on). I guess I'd have to say, think hard before you go this route, watch the video, and look at the instruction sheet in detail...there are easier, cheaper options available. Note: They did send me a complimentary toolkit, which is not normally included, so thank you for that, at least.

Never before in my life i ever thought of this idea of using floor planks on the wall. But this product lets you do that. I know its crazy, but if at all you are interested in such a project, this would let you do that. I did have some leftover flooring planks so ready to try that in my basement. Looks good and this one makes it easier. May not be a perfect one, but good enough

I ended up with a fair stack of flooring left over from finishing out an office space at home. While trying to figure out a clever way to use up these remnants it struck me to put them on the wall in one of our bedrooms as a sort of headboard. I was thrilled when a quick search pulled up this system as I didn't want to have to glue the pieces to the wall. Upon first opening the box I was quite impressed with the quality of the instructions and look forward to updating when my project is finished.

We're going to use the OMUR Wall mount system for laying floor planking vertically to create a kind of feature headboard on the section of wall behind our bed. I think for that purpose it's really good as this allows you not to have to glue the planks down and then rip up the sheetrock if you change your mind. But I'm not so sure I'd use this product to do a large space as it would get expensive buying additional kits. Instructions are easy enough to follow.

I recieved the Wall Mount system for Flooring Planks as part of a promotion. This is just a starter kit so it wasnt enough to build an entire wall. But it is a good sytem to use if you want to mount flooring planks to the wall without having to nail or use some other means. The kit comes with everything you need and they recommend installing the supports four-feet apart.

At first I thought this would be a great way to mount engineered flooring to the wall, but there ...
At first I thought this would be a great way to mount engineered flooring to the wall, but there is one big issue with this idea. Most flooring patters on the planks are very repetitive, so their might only be 6 or 7 different patterned planks of wood per box and then the patterns are repeated. When doing tile for instance you can flip the tile 180 and the pattern is not as noticeable, but with click lock flooring you can't do that. When on the floor the repetitive wood planks are not as noticeable covered with furniture & area rugs etc., but when it's on the wall starring right at you, it looks SO fake! Now I realize different manufactures use different processes to make their "wood look" flooring and some don't have a pattern or might include a lot of different patterns, but I just want folks to be aware of this issue before they go through the effort of drilling their walls and mounting the plastic tracks for this system. If you do decide to use this system...Make sure you lay out all of your planks on the floor and take a good look at them for the overall effect. I also found it impossible to use the plank holders (clips as they call them) that are supposed to go in-between the wood planks click lock when hanging them, as the planks are hard enough to snap together as it is, never mind with a piece of plastic wedged in between the connection. This may or may not be an issue with the flooring you have chosen. At first I had a heck of a time finding a video of this system being installed, if you go on the O-mur website you might find the english ver., I found the French ver. first then kept digging until I found the English Ver. HD should have a link right on the product page. (I would put the link here but it's not allowed) If you are doing a headboard or a small wall area this system might work for you, but on O-Mur's website they show whole walls and even sloped ceilings using their system, (and yes you can see the patterns on the wall). I should mention that this products instructions did say to NOT use it on ceilings BTW! The instructions are in English and there was a French ver. with just the pictures and no explanations, but it did have a link to their website for the video, there was no link to the video on the English instructions....go figure. I should mention that there are a few other things to note. 1. The tool kit (see pic) that is needed for installing the rails is NOT included, so make sure to order that. 2. There are no screws included for mounting the track to the wall. 3. There are no wall anchors included if you need to mount onto drywall where there is not a stud. 4. The instructions are rather lacking, watch the video and it will be much clearer on how the system works & how to lay it out on the wall. I hope you found this review helpful, if so please check the box. Thanks, MikeTheReviewer

I was excited about this OMUR Wall Mount System for Flooring Planks 32 sq. ft. Starter Kit, until it arrived, and then was kind of disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I think some people may find it more useful than I do. We are making wainscoting on our walls with flooring planks, and until now, I have used a name brand heavy duty construction adhesive I bought at Home Depot for a great price per case. With adhesive, you can apply the planks flush to the wall, and going around corners is pretty easy. We top the wainscoting with a chair-rail and apply corner molding to hide the corner seams. The maker of this wall mount system touts it as something you could use if you want to remove and replace the flooring planks with another style. However, if you wanted to remove them entirely and go back to drywall walls, you'd still have to either repair of replace the drywall. Additionally, you have the issue of the mounting system causing the planks to stick out a little from the wall. In the kit, you get six of the rails, which in our case, of a 4 ft high wainscotting, would allow us to run 8 linear feet of wainscotting. Quite frankly, I can do that much with adhesive for much less cost and hassle. As I said, some people may find this system useful for some applications, but for us, it is just not what I had hoped for. Thanks Omur and Home Depot!

I wanted to do a a feature wall in my half bathroom. It is easy to glue up click and lock flooring, but if you don't like it or want to change it later, you will damage your sheet rock in removing it. By using this product, you screw in the mounting rails and then click and lock the flooring to the rails. If you don't like it, it is easy to swap out a different plank. Or if you want to take it down all you have to do is remove the planks, unscrew the rails, and fill in the holes and touch up your paint. For the ability to swap out different planks and not having to use glue, the product is worth it - especially if you do not own your residence. First, the listing states " Tool Kit sold separately (Model # OM820003)" yet it was taped to the exterior of the package. If this was not provided, it would of been extremely frustrating since it is required to use the wall mount kit. The kit was not very well packed and parts could of been lost if the box was damaged in transit. The instructions are fairly easy to follow, but it does not include the necessary screws to install the mounting rails. Since you can install the rails on such diverse surfaces, such as stucco, brick, and sheet rock, it makes sense that they are not included. Now that I got the kit, I am seriously thinking about doing my boring brick fireplace instead of my half bathroom. It only covers 32 sq ft (i.e., 8' x 4' wall) but they sell additional rails (Model # OM820004). I would of knocked off 2 stars because everything is plastic, but because of the convenience of being able to install plank flooring on surfaces such as brick, I only knocked off a star.
