Can you combine multiple clips for a heavier weight mirror?

Typically, larger mirrors will have a "trough" to hold the bottom in place, with these holding the top. Nonetheless, what is key is making sure they have a good anchor into either wall studs, or a quality anchor such as an appropriately sized E-Z Ancor https://www.homedepot.com/p/E-Z-Ancor-Twist-N-Lock-75-lb-Medium-Duty-Drywall-Anchors-50-Pack-25310/100040265

Very Useful
I purchased these to install 8 large mirrors (36x60) in a room for home gym use. I did not know that my mirrors came with their own clips. I am so glad I bought these instead because the clips that came with my mirrors were smaller and left less room for play if the mirror was slightly bowed (which the commonly are so a small degree). In addition, these clips give the option of using straight drywall to attach to and not just a stud. Again, my clips that were included with my mirror only worked on studs. Now what project comes along that is perfectly measured out to only use studs?...1 in a million is would guess. My mirrors were close 20lbs so I added a couple more clips to the bottoms and they are doing just fine.

The screws are undersized and when tightened the threads did not hold into the studs. Also the plastic pieces for the drywall were so flimsy that when pushing them in the holes they flexed and broke. This is the only brand HD carries, which is surprising and sad there isn't even another option.
