These hangers are so simple, yet so good. I researched many options for rebuilding or shoring up several feet of sagging soffit at the back of my garage. I finally found these hangers and bought some from a different source before I knew Home Depot also carried these. I needed more for my project and bought another dozen from Home Depot.
My brick wall has wider gaps between bricks than the fins at the top of the hangers could reach. I just used needle-nose pliers to bend each side fin up 1/32 of an inch or so and tried it again. With a little trial and error, but mostly no error, my adjustments made the fins press up against the brick enough to make the saw-tooth claw on the back grip the lower brick.
Each hanger took only seconds to adjust and place along a row of bricks so that I could lift and support the sagging soffit. These could certainly hold wreaths or pictures, but I like that they can also hold my soffit without my having to drill and use specialized tools and expensive hardware or to rebuild at least that section of the metal soffit. When I ultimately finish using the hangers for holding my soffit, I’ll be able to take them down and reuse them for any other reasonable purpose.
I like being able to hang things on my bricks without leaving any discernible marks and with such ease.

These Don't Work
I have a larger grapevine wreath to hang on the outside brick wall. These clips don't stay on the brick during a slight breeze. Planning on drilling into the brick and insert an appropriate screw tomorrow.

The hook did not work on the brick wall. It simply did not stay wedged in enough to hold the picture.
