What a great product. Being an engineer, I can appreciate the thought and time that went into this design. The battery is flat and fits well within the jacket. Others I have tried puts a large battery near the kidneys in the back which makes it very uncomfortable when driving.
My daughter wears this as either a vest alone or under another jacket. It is not a bulky vest. The detachable hood is a great feature for her.
For the days that start off cold and warm up a bit to the cool side she has a jacket for the day, in the morning she uses the heater, as it warms up she turns the heater off and the down filled vest works for her and if it starts to get cold again in the evening she turns the heater back on.
The bag is an added touch.

This is a lightweight vest like no other. Plenty of material and feathers used as lining in this vest making it nice and warm even with/without the battery power. Extremely fashionable and most importantly very warm and cozy when worn. The battery pack is easily recharged with a provided charger that quickly puts a full charge back in the rechargeable battery pack and the unit is ready again keeping me warm. You feel even heat distributed warmth throughout the vest on the back and chest. It absolutely feels so great. The vest has a button on the front left portion of the vest that controls the levels of heat provided and an On/Off all on the same push pad. It automatically cuts the heat in and out from Red hi mode to a lower level. And a button on the side of the battery pack that you can depress to see the level of battery life left on the battery before needing to place it on the charger. The vest also can be washed when needed by just throwing it in the washer. Just be sure to remove the battery before doing so, which by the way is very easy and simple to do. Great product that can be worn under or over other garments. I highly recommend it.

Absolutely in love with this heated vest. I am truly impressed by the quality of this product including, crazy as it may sound, the packaging. It comes in a reusable plastic bag inside a zippered canvas type bag with a carying handle, so you can store your vest, the included battery and included charger all together when you won't be using it.
To the vest itself--it is soooooooo soft, made with 90% down and 10% feather. If you've ever gone to buy a feather pillow you know the % of down is what dictates the quality/price. With this fill material the vest by itself is warm. But now add the heat element--oh my gosh! Initially, when I picked up the battery I thought the vest would be far too heavy to be comfortable to wear but that's not at all the case. Once the battery is put in it's designated pocket and you put the vest on, you don't notice the weight of it.
The heat penetrates the neck, the upper back and the front under the pockets that sit at about belly level.
The vest has two front pockets that zip closed, a detachable, chinchable hood and the vest itself has a zipper and tab button closure. I have the medium size. I generally wear a medium (6-8) and this vest fits me perfect. If you're at the larger end of a medium, I think you'd want to go with a large. I think this vest is very stylish.
The vest has 3 heat levels, high , medium and low.
I have to say, as I was out and about running errands in 41 degree weather with only a cotton knit turtleneck under the vest, I was feeling nice and cozy. It was delightful to feel that heat on my back as well as in the pockets when I put my hands in my pockets.
At about $189 I think the vest is expensive but I also think that with the quality and the functionality make it worth the price..

Stylish, lightweight heated down vest with many great features. The whole jacket fits into an included pouch which makes it easy for storage and for travel.
The heated collar and detachable hood are particularly nice additions. The battery is flat, which makes it more comfortable than other heated jackets. It slides into a front inside compartment, rather than a back outside pocket.
The charger comes with two additional outlet, making it great for travel. Further, the output of the charger is a USB port, so it can be used to charge other components when traveling internationally. Great space saver. Given this is a vest, it's probably more suited for everyday wear than on a work site.

This vest is like heated sears in your car, you never knew you needed them until you got them; now you can't give them up. My wife never feels warm enough in the winter time, so when I saw this vest, I knew it would be a hit with her. I was right, she loves the heat & thinks the style is good, the material is very comfortable & it easily fits under her dog walking coat. I think I'll buy a second battery so she can wear it continuously.
