Product Overview

Arm yourself against the elements with OSI QUAD Window, Door & Siding Sealant. OSI QUAD Invisible Window, Door & Siding Sealant offers all the benefits of OSI QUAD in a crystal clear invisible formula, perfect for finishing work. It is an all-season formula designed for superior caulking performance on exterior window, door and siding applications, fiber-cement and vinyl siding, PVC trim, and much more. It can be applied to wet or dry surfaces, even at freezing temperatures and, unlike other sealants, it resists dirt and dust collection, yellowing and water washout. OSI QUAD bonds without a primer to most common substrates like cedar, painted or stained woods, fiberglass, vinyl, coated aluminum, steel, metal, brick, masonry and concrete. With resistance to UV and extreme temperatures (20°F to 120°F) and proven wet surface application, OSI QUAD is the versatile and durable choice for professional contractors. OSI QUAD is self-tooling and once cured is paintable with latex paints. Our color specialists work closely with leading window, door and siding manufacturers to ensure perfect color matches. OSI QUAD is composed of elastomeric polymers and high quality synthetic resins. OSI offers an arsenal of adhesives, caulks, and outdoor construction sealants for the true professional. OSI: Tougher Than the Elements.

Thank you for your question but there appears to be a discrepancy on which product may have been used. You say you used QUAD MAX Clear, but the product referenced from the Home Depot website shows QUAD Invisible Clear. This is important to know because they are two different chemistries. In general, fresh sealants may feel somewhat tacky but because of differences in chemistries cure times can be significantly different. Was any type of tooling agent used? If yes, what was used. If you can clarify which product used was actually used, we can help you. Please call our technical Help Line at 1-800-624-7767. Ask for an Application Specialist if necessary. Otherwise you can visit www.ositough.com and check the Technical Data Sheet for the product used.

After applying the caulk how long before it can be painted?

Typically the QUAD sealant should not be painted for at least 7-14 days or longer depending upon temperature, humidity and volume of sealant used. This is a solvent based sealant and it must be fully cured before painting.

Quad is God!!!
Best exterior calk on the market. I've used OSI products for years, their calk as well as their door and windows foam are the best out there.
