Each tool has a comfort grip handle. The handles are also a bit wider than other tools I own. I have less joint pain using these tools as compared to other tools I have because the handles have such a good design. These tools are made to last. They feel sturdy.
The potato peeler was actually my favorite of the bunch. It has definitely been the best performing potato peeler of this style that I've ever owned. It made quick work of a whole big bag of potatoes without making my hand overly tired.
The tongs are also good for cooking in cast iron or deep frying. The ends are made of stainless steel so you will not have to worry about melting them.
The can opener worked extremely smoothly and easily opening any size can. The grater has an extra wide handle that was extremely comfortable to use. I would recommend this grater to anyone who might have hand pain. The whisk also performs well.
The ice cream scoop was okay, but the scoop was a little small for my liking. I guess I just like bigger scoops of ice cream.

These cooking utensils are the best. I have been cooking for decades and I am so glad someone took this product segment to where is should have been a long time ago. After all mankind has been using utensils for millions of years.
I remember when I was a kid my mom would sometimes let me grate the cheese when she was cooking. I loved helping her but the old grater was hard to handle. It didn't have any kind of handle, you just had to try to hang on to the edges and it didn't work very well. I remember feeling that, it would be so much more satisfying if the grater were easier to use. The Good Grips grater has a very effective handle and it feels good in your hand.
Clearly all of the items in this set have been considered from the users point of view and have been designed so they are much easier to use and more effective. The can opener, for instance, actually opens cans. I bought an electric can opener several years ago and I remember being so unhappy because it didn't work. I bought a different brand and it didn't work either. Then I realized that tin cans had changed (the lip of the can is smaller now and the mechanism can't grip it very good) and apparently, the can opener industry didn't get the memo.
All of the items in this set are great and all of the utensils, that are used frequently, are included. It has greatly improved this small area of our lives in this family. We give a hearty handshake to the OXO Company.

This set is great! It is full of very useful utensils. Not only that, but they are high quality. Also, the value is great! This manufacturer makes great products. All these items sold separately would be very expensive. I uses the tongs every day and potato peeler a lot. I love the whip, can opener, ice cream scoop and grater too! I highly recommend this product.

This is a great set of essential kitchen tools. As a previous user of OXO products, I know how durable and long lasting their products really are. This set did not disappoint ! It is a nice assortment of tools that are most used in the kitchen. My favorite has to be the swivel vegetable peeler. It does the job of peeling veggies with ease. Truly makes an unpleasant job quick and easy! I'm looking forward to years of use from this handy set.

I needed a new medium micro planner and looked to a brand that I love - OXO. Well, if you are like me who likes to cook, your standard utensils are probably pretty beat up. When I saw this set at this price point, I decided to buy it because my peeler and can opener were pretty dull. I am glad that I got it. OXO handles are really soft and easy to hold. The swivel peeler makes it really easy to peel odd shaped vegetables, like butternut squash. I really like that the tongs have a lever to lock them in place so they don't 'pop' open in my drawer like the other ones I have that are 'spring' locked. The only negative with the tongs are the length. At 9" long if I am frying up a large batch of items in my 12" pan, I can't use these and have to use my larger tongs. Not a fault of these tongs, but just a heads up.

This set contains six items that you have to have in your kitchen because they are things you will us over and over again. They are called good grips because of the way the handle is made that really does give you a good grip that is slip resistant and soft at the same time. the set includes a swivel peeler, can opener, grater, 9 in. locking tongs, ice cream scoop and 11 in. balloon whisk. The only item that could be improved on is the locking tongs. They don't open as wide as I would like to have them open. The set is dishwasher safe except for the can opener which should be washed by hand. These are great items to give to anyone starting out into a home of their own.

This kitchen utensil set comes with six items: Grater, Can Opener, Tongs, Balloon Whisk, Ice Cream Scoop, and Potato Peeler. While we already had each of these items in our kitchen, each item had been purchased individually and at different times, so we had a hodgepodge collection of utensils, all looking differently with different styles and colors. Getting this collection not only made our utensil set look nice, but the quality of each utensil is excellent. Very sturdy products featuring stainless steel heads and non-slip handle grips. We had no idea how dull our can opener, grater, and potato peeler were until we started using these new items. All of the items but one are dishwasher safe;.the exception being the the can opener which should be hand washed. The potato peeler features a swivel action meaning the blade moves with the rounded shape of the potato as you turn it. The whisk is 11" long and is much easier to use than the old, short one we used to use. The tongs are 9" long and can be locked closed. We areery happy with this set!

I priced around and Home Depot was competitive and even better priced than most stores. We thought or old tools were working just fine until we splurged on a new set. You don't realize over time how things like a peeler has gotten dull until you get a new one. These have nice handles which make them easier to grab an use. We really haven't used the grater much but the rest are great.
