    Fantastic paper towel holder -- and another great example of OXO design. This is clean and modern-looking, but most importantly, it works, even one-handed. The base is heavy enough that grabbing a handful of paper towels won't tip it, and the spring arm works exactly as intended, putting just enough tension to keep the loose end in place while still allowing it to unroll when you pull on it. And it works no matter the size of the roll. Just a really well thought out and executed piece of hardware. Highly recommended.

    With one minor exception, the paper towel holder works really well; in addition, the appearance of the black and stainless steel finish make it stylish and an excellent fit with my on-going kitchen remodel. It features a spring-loaded pressure arm to hold the roll secure and allow for one-handed tearing; the arm locks open when replacing an empty roll. The base is weighted and non-slip. On the down-side, one-handed tearing requires a bit of technique that I have not consistently mastered or the holder will tip a bit; if the base was slightly wider (~1"), this would not occur - this is not a major issue. I would recommend this product.

    I have been looking for a nice countertop paper towel holder, since there is no place to actually install on that isn't in the way of something else. Just having the roll sit on the counter isn't very effective when you forget you need one until you have only one hand to get one. Even your basic holder isn't very good for that. This one solves both problems. I was concerned that the tension arm would be too tight or too loose, but it's like Goldilocks--just right. It's only a wee bit loose when the roll size gets way down, but you just need to pull it at a steeper angle. It looks really nice, too. Has a good weight, and the knob on the top makes it easier to pick up and move if necessary.

    When I first took this out of the box and placed my roll of paper towels on the spindle for my first test, I was optimistic. That actually turned out to be an understatement. It worked as advertised like a dream. I got so giddy with the first pull and tear that I almost went through a 1/4 of the roll testing it. I've never, in my 60 years, used a paper towel holder that didn't throw off 10 sheets while trying to tear a single sheet off one handed. This holder is very well made and looks good in my kitchen and would probably look good in any kitchen unless you live in a rustic log cabin with dirt floors. One piece of advice is that you must tear the towels perpendicular to the tension arm and not at a 90 degree angle. I highly recommend this product.

    Best paper towel holder ever! I have been looking for something like this for a while. I did not want to mount a paper towel holder under the cabinets or anything. I just wanted a counter top paper towel holder to sit on the counter. Not only does this look great, but it holds the loose paper towels and keeps them from unraveling. Spring tension in arm holds it steady and works great.

    Very sturdy and durable paper towel holder that we are glad we picked. It is great looking, fits the decor of our bathroom and is heavy enough that it doesn't tip over as our previous one did. It is sturdy enough to hold up to every day use and kids who don't always treat items gently. It is easy to clean and maintain and we love the easy tear-off feature it came with. It is so much easier to get one paper towel off the roll with the tension bar that is part of the holder. This is well worth adding to your home or office.

    Arrived quickly and packed well. Item looks good, is stable on the counter, holds towels nicely, but difficult for my husband who has PD to operate. Definitely "not one hand operation." Bought it for kitchen remodel and to replace 20 yr old plexiglass paper towel holder that was screwed to underside of upper cabinet.

    I am fussy about my paper towel holders and this model meets all my needs! It keeps the roll out of any moisture that might be on the counter or surrounding areas and is sturdy enough it doesn't tip over easily. The additional arm to hold the roll and sheets in place is a blessing! It helps to keep from pulling too many sheets and keeps them tucked away nicely when not being utilized! LOVE THIS HOLDER!
