These hex nuts are of excellent quality owing to their zinc plating over the top of low carbon steel, and they are heavy duty. When used to lock pipe hangers onto 3/8" threaded rods, they provide a solid, firm grip on the hangers which assures long-term stability. Their plating assures that the corrosion of these nuts will not be a reason for concern.

If you are looking for a pack of hex nuts for a project then I would recommend the Oatey 3/8in. Hex nuts. When you by anything in bulk, you always end up with a few that are defective. Whether the threads are not done correctly or the zinc coating is poorly done. Every nut in this package was exactly the same, which is a good sign of their quality control.
