I have a two and one-half inch vent pipe will this product work for this? Do I stretch the two inch pre-cut over or do a manual cut?
Asked by Greg July 21, 2016Never do a custom cut on this product. Use a pair of pliers pull tab to size the product to fit your vent pipe. I would suggest watching the video linked to the Home Depot Product site before attempting any installations.

Inner hole diameter listed as 1.5”. What is the outer diameter size?
Asked by RC July 10, 2019The outer size is 3 inches. It also fits all the common pipe sizes in between. It can be trimmed to size at job-site.
What temperature can this endure?
Asked by Curious November 1, 2016All weather conditions. Extreme temperatures will probably reduce its lifespan.
Will this fit over a dry rotted vent boot?
Asked by DB October 12, 2020Yes of course. But will it stop the leak? If the boot is only rotten at the top of the boot it should work fine. But if the boot is rotten at the bottom where it meets the roofing it will not, since this new boot will not seal against the roofing material.
I need a rain collar with a 2” inside diameter and at least a 6” outside diameter.
Asked by Repairgirl April 28, 2018This rain collar is designed to fit a range of pipe sizes from 1.5 to 3 inches. To answer your question specifically, yes, it will fit 2-inch pipe but you will have trim out 1/2-inch at the correct cut-line with a utility knife - which is easy to do.
