We used to have the copper version of this kettle made by the same manufacturer. The stainless steel version has three issues compared to the copper version: (1) it's heavier; (2) if you tilt the kettle too much while pouring, water leaks out of where the handle is bolted to the kettle, which didn't happen with the copper version; (3) this version of the kettle pours more slowly than the copper version did. Having said that, this is still among the better kettles we've tried. It's hard to find really good kettles.

Rattles on the stove while heating because bottom is not flat, spits steam from top so you burn your hand when lifting off the burner. Lid is difficult to get securely onto pot. How much could go wrong?

(What's this)
I have owned an Old Dutch Kettle for many years and find this one to appear lighter in weight than the older version. In the long run, the 3 qt. Stainless Steel Windsor Whistling Teakettle is still a very good value and it may make it easier to carry and use when filled with water if it's not as heavy. It is a lovely piece, looks great on my gas range and came with a flawless finish. The whistle worked as it should, would make a nice gift as well.

This product only looks good. Price is good as well, but worthless for the everyday usage: 1. Handle become hot 2. To fill cup you should wreck a lot the whole unit up 3. Leaking on the "nose" and body connection

(What's this)
My wife absolutely loves this teakettle. It holds 3 quarts of water - much more than her other ones. It heats up very quickly. The whistle is pleasant rather than grating like some of her other ones have been. She loves the old-world look of it as well. The handle makes it easy to hold and pour, which is essential as she has lost some strength in her hands in recent years. The spout also make it easy to pour just the right amount with no spilling.

(What's this)
If you like to have a cup of tea in the afternoons, this tea kettle will get your water nice and hot and will probably serve from 6 to 6 people very easily. It is well made and will last for quite some time with proper care. I''s 3 quart capacity is just right to serve an average family. Don't worry about it letting you know when the water is ready because it will whistle when the water is perfectly hot. Sit down and enjoy your tea..

Classy and striking in appearance. Boils water in a reasonable amount of time. Two equivocations: (1) quickly gets dirty on the outside and (2) you have to tilt it at an extreme angle to get the last of the water out, which can be difficult for those with weak wrists.

I bought this one to replace one I bought several years ago by a different manufacturer. This one was not the same heavy duty quality as the first one and, although I have tried several times to release the ball in the spout as instructed, I cannot get a good water flow. It looks good on my stove
