How do you cut this product at end of a run?
Asked by: Thebigguy
You can cut a number of different ways. You can score and snap. Use a cut-off wheel on a grinder, or you can use a tile saw.

Backing.
Asked by: Charps
I’d say yes or you can cut them off pretty easy. When we were looking they had individual the webbed ones were actually more. We LOVE how they look!!!!!! I’ll try and add a pic.

Asked by: Jordy
It would probably stick to the paneling with mastic, but the paneling is only held on by paneling nails. I would remove the paneling and install cement board or hardie backer with screws.

10.5 in. x 28 in. x 0.5 in. Columbia Street Brickweb Thin Brick Flats is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 385.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks better in person!!! When I bought my house the previous owner had, from floor to ceiling cork board on a chimney stack in the Master bedroom. Eww! Once I ripped it off it looked even worse. Although this was an expensive alternative it was well worth it. I used Omnigrip that worked well. I also used antique white grout and a grout bag with a 3/8" tuck pointer, just make sure you seal the brick first! I couldn't be happier. The corners were a bit awkward but I think it was a combo of part uneven wall and part uneven brick but to compensate the brick has a worn look so no biggie. I also used a diamond wheel and it cut the thin brick very easily. I couldn't be happier and would highly recommend this. I am not a contractor or a professional just someone not afraid to tackle a project so any do-it-yourselfer can easily do this. Delivery was on time and only had two bricks that were broken and two that were cracked out of 3 boxes of corners and 6 boxes of flats. Awesomeness in a box...its like I have a new room

My husband and I wanted to upgrade the space in our basement and have looked at this product for a year or so now. We finally took the plunge and paid for the product. We are really happy we did because it upgrades and warms the space! We installed in two separate locations - our bar and an accent wall in a large room. It took us several days to complete start to finish, but it was a pretty quick process (compared to other tiling jobs we've done). The bricks were easy to cut and shave. The webbing held nicely with the mastic we used and the process moved along quickly because we could hang 12 bricks at once. The product is not perfect and is supposed to look rustic so it was tough to level. We had to "eyeball" it in the end. It was really easy to space and is forgiving if you make a mistake. The color is also exactly what we pictured for a brick wall.

When we started, we knew we needed to pick out a back-splash type of material, but never thought brick. Then, as the project moved along, I happened to stumble upon the Brickweb product on the HomeDepot.com site, and knew almost immediately that was the winner. The idea of a brick wall as the focal point of our kitchen was perhaps one of the best ideas of the entire kitchen remodel. The install was fairly easy with the mesh on the back. Once up and grouted into place, we sealed it and called it a day. The size of our wall and back splash warranted this to be a nearly 3 day project, but it was worth it. The Brickweb Castle Gate wall is, by far, the focal point of our entire kitchen. Would recommend this to anyone with experience in putting up tiles or bricks as it was a bit more of a task than someone with no experience would want to handle.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Factory recommended installation instructions are very poor. First off the brick faces are only ... Factory recommended installation instructions are very poor. First off the brick faces are only loosely attached to the webbing via hot melt glue and are easily detach so good adhesion of the brick itself to the wall is essential. Instruction state to apply a layer of special adhesive mortar to the wall face but does not state how thick the layer should be? Apply too thick and the mortar extrudes between the brick grout lines filling them with up with adhesive. Too thin does not provide sufficient adhesion. Regardless of the thickness, applying the adhesive mortar to the wall alone is insufficient to securely attach the brick. The instruction should have stated to apply a very thin mortar layer to backside of the web in order to wet the brick for good adhesion. Simply sticking a dry dusty brick face to the tacky mortar is stupid, especially with the webbing reducing the surface contact area. Mortar simply oozes through the webbing between the brick leaving the brick itself lightly adhered. If they are loose or poorly attached you'll need to remove them from the web backing and apply the adhesive mortar to the brick itself. Be very careful not to allow the adhesive mortar to get on the brick face because it will not clean off like normal mortar.

My husband and I decided to build a fireplace and after considering ledger stone and various products, we finally decided to go with thin brick. So glad we did as the outcome is exactly what we wanted! This stuff is beautiful and looks exactly like full sized brick once placed. I initially ordered a box of Little Cottonwood and Rushmore to decide on color. We liked both but decided on Rushmore as it was a little bit warmer/had some deeper tones and more texture overall (Little Cottonwood had a bit more red tones, I will attach that pic for anyone considering both like we did). I'm not sure why others have said the color of Rushmore doesn't look like the pictures because I think it is pretty spot on. Of course the colors look different in natural vs indoor lighting (pics attached). Also, I know some people complained about the brick being chipped/cracked but to me that's normal and I personally think it adds more character so we didn't mind a few chipped or cracked pieces on our fireplace one bit! We had a friend build it for us who had never worked with brick web but said it was super easy and he loved working with it. Definitely recommend this product!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This a TON of work to do I got this stuff because it is supposed to be faster/easier than working with regular bricks. We put up 18 boxes of this stuff on our front porch and it was a TON of work. PASS #1: put up a "scratch coat" of adhesive over the plywood and let that harden. PASS #2: put up the main coat of adhesive, properly grooved out, etc. PASS #3: put up the bricks, cutting as necessary PASS #4: put in the grout We still have not done pass #4 yet. Anyway, we worked and worked and WORKED to put this stuff up and found it pretty slow going. We also fund the stuff sags until the adhesive dries and hardens - so we used a pneumatic stapler to hold the bricks in place until it did. Makes for extra complication but it stopped the pieces from sliding down the wall. Overall, we are happy with the results, and not sorry we went this route, but it was a TON of work. You should know that going in. I also think it was pretty expensive for what you get. Half of what they charge would be more reasonable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleased customer This product gave us the exact look and quality that we wanted. My daughter wanted a bricked wall in her kitchen. After viewing the installation video on the brickweb website we decided we were up for the DIY project. The tools required were minimal. We used an adhesive purchased from The Home Depot and a notched trowel. The cuts of the brick were easy to do with a grinder and a disk appropriate for brick/tile. The only small problem we encountered was a slight slippage of the brick that we noticed after completing the first row. We simply had to slide it back into position and partially drive a nail under one of the bricks in each sheet as we went. This held it in place until the adhesive had a chance to set up. These nails were easily removed before we started grouting. My daughter wanted a white washed look for her brick. We had chosen Rushmore brick and purchased Snow White sanded grout from The Home Depot. The grout was easy to apply using a grout bag and partially wiping with a damp sponge left enough of the white color for the look we were after. We were so pleased with the results and the fact we were able to do it ourselves we decided to use it again for her back splash.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice looking finish product I ordered brick web on line as Home Depot does not have any of this product in store. It arrived promptly by delivery truck and driver asked where to place palate. Each of he five panels per box is very heavy and I had concerns about it adhering to the exterior plywood sheathing. The mortar recommended by brick web at Home Depot maws fantastic for adhering to the wall. Some of the bricks were not glued onto webbing straight. I was either able to remove them and reset on the wall individually or use a screw into the wall the tween bricks to hold in position while drying. The main issue I have was grout film removal. I sealed bricks prior to grouting and then used the Home Depot film removing products with no results. Muratic acid at Home Depot worked fairly well. I would recommend brick web to any one as this was my first time working with brick and following directions the final product looks great.
