If I would have written this review in the first 4 days, it would have gotten 5 stars and I would have recommended it heartily. I am finishing a farmhouse table and put about 4-5 coats on the top in that first couple of days and really liked it. Following that, I painted and distressed the frame/legs and got around to putting a couple of coats of this poly on that portion after about a week and a half following the last coat on the top. I noticed immediately that the color of it had changed drastically. The can was definitely sealed tight, so I refuse to believe that was it. Put it on the frame and noticed a yellow tint that didn’t seem to be there before, but didn’t worry about it since it is supposed to be distressed and since it would all be uniform, it should be fine.
Fast forward a couple days again when I’m assembling the top and frame and I notice a spot I need to fix on the top (a drip bled through the wood seam when I threw a quick coat on the bottom). I sanded delicately and got the drip removed. Against my instincts I grabbed what was left of the original can of poly and tried to do the touch up. I now have a huge cloudy spot in the middle of the table that I’m going to have to sand and retouch up. As a kicker I’m going to have to buy the same stuff again to touch up the top again so as not to risk complications from mixing two brands.
TL/DR: if you are going to use it, use it all in a couple of days, exposure to air, even when sealed after, seems to greatly affect what’s in the can.

Beautiful finish on mmy stained coffee table.
This finish is a really shiny gloss finish. It was easy to use and the "self-leveling" feature really works. At first, after applying it to my table top with a paint brush, I could see little bumps all over it, but after a while, they were all gone! It just leveled out!

Everything good except aftersmell
I used the product on an office table for the home office. I purchased the butcher block from Home Depot, sanded it, and stained it. After a couple of days, I applied this product and settled very nicely. Very minimal bubbles and a nice sheen to it but it left a horrible smell in the office that you can barely breathe. Using the room for an extended period of time left me with coughing and irritation in the throat. I would love to use the product if it does not have a smell to it. Emailed them today asking solution, if any. I will update the review if they recommend something and I can get rid of the smell somehow.
