My wood garden shed has Olympic Maximum solid stain on it from about 15 years ago. It needs to be recoated. My question is can I apply the new Olympic Elite solid stain over the old Maximum solid stain? It the Elite better, and what are the benefits?
Hi there, we recommend doing a water absorption test on the wood prior to re-staining. Apply some water onto the surface and if you see it absorb into the wood within a few minutes it is ready to be stained. If the water beads up onto the surface and does not absorb into the wood, then that is when we do not recommend re-staining yet. Olympic Elite offers our premium, longest-lasting stain with enhanced durability.
We'd like to use your SC-1071 Sandstone on cinder block walls in a greenhouse. Is it recommended, and which of your sealants would you suggest ? Also, are there any drawbacks ?

I purchased the elite label and it came with a hard-clear plastic around the rim of the can . Can’t seem to remove it to open the can . Please tell me how to remove this plastic
