Color was labeled as clear on can and turned out to be an unsightly golden yellow. It is heavily pigmented and should not be advertised as CLEAR. Extremely disappointed to say the least. Totally ruined my new coop, extremely disappointed.

Very poor consistency
Olympic is the most expensive item on the Home Depot exterior stain shelf. But the results are very disappointing. I stirred it thoroughly and followed all the preparation instructions for my new cedar deck. However, the color is so inconsistent throughout the deck surface. You would think clear finish should leave the most unnoticeable marks at overlapping areas. However, the dried surface is scarred with light and dark spots everywhere. My new cedar deck is so messed up, will have to restain.

Turned out great.
Easy to use with Graco airless sprayer. Applied to Yellawood as soon as fence was up. Their website disspells the myth that you have to let their product "dry out" before application of stain. If you wait you will have cracked and shrunken boards.

Stain changed color
My husband hand built our children’s play set spending countless hours, days, and money to surprise them. When it came to staining we purchased a 5 gallon bucket and a one gallon tin of Olympic Canyon Brown. The stain, even when mixed properly, changed colors WHILE
IN THE BUCKET AND TIN! My husband was devastated by all his hard work to have our swing set 5 shades of color. This is beyond a disappointment.

First year
I power washed, then scrubbed, then washed again on my treated deck. Once the deck dried some I applied this sealant. Next day it’s waterproof. I’m adding a picture of the treated wood and the treated wood with sealant. Will follow up periodically.

Great natural look
I rebuilt my deck in 2017 and have been using this product ever since. Like any product the results are in the prep and application. Each spring I have sanded the deck with 150 grit sandpaper, thoroughly cleaning with deck cleaner and the following day applied this stain/sealer Olympic Maximum clear with a roller. My only complaint is that this stain only lasts about 6 months. A few things I have learned. A roller does not thoroughly get between the space in each board. You have to use a brush to do that. Also don’t put this on real thick. I have found that after brushing or rolling this product take an old towel and wipe it down. This year I again cleaned the deck after 6 months in the Fall and put another light coat down. Hopefully I won’t have to re sand in the spring and just clean and reseal. Pictures are after the recent Fall application

Not happy with this stain
I purchased 33 1-gallon cans of the Olympic clear stain the summer of 2021, now I have mildew all over the fence 1 year later. I feel misled because it indicates on the can of Olympic Maximum 4 years for a fence, and it is mildew resistant - well it is not
I put the Olympic deck clearer on then sanded the whole fence down then pressure washed it. I let it dry for 2 days then I rolled the stain on both sides of my fence.
First of all, the fence looked great once I put the stain on. Got lots of comments on how people loved the color of the stain I used. I wish I had used another stain, but I feel like I was misled because the can indicated 4 years for a fence
