Great coverage and color
Gives our deck a nice color and coverage! We had it on less than 24 hours when an unexpectes rain moved through and it beaded up nicely. I will say if you have new wood thay gets a lot of sun expect it to not go as far as the can says and budget to buy more. We ended up needing 4 cans when per the can coverage directions we should have only needed 1.

Love the Look of Olympic Honey Gold!
I have been a huge fan of Olympic Honey Gold Stain. The deck in the photo is over 20 years old and I keep it looking brand new by first cleaning the deck with Olympic Deck Cleaner and then applying Olympic Honey Gold stain. I get compliments all the time from the neighbors and asking what brand and color I use. Do yourself a favor and use Olympic products - they are the best and deliver beautiful results.

Never Again!,,
I purchased this stain and sealant once Professionally install deck was finished. It was applied correctly and did not last two years. My deck looks awful and I have to get it stripped and redone all over again but not with this product. I have spent a lot of money on board and stain the wood is beautiful the stain is awful.

Same markins on the can, totally different results
I had a five gallon can and came up short. Went and got two 1 gallon vans and the consistency is totally different. Totally soaked in and the coverage was a tenth of what the3 original can covered. The one gallon cans were as thin as water and gave a totally different finish. Not what do I do?

No consistency between cans
Had to buy a second 5 gallon can. Color not even close to matching.

Do not buy
Bought the 5 gallon of the honey gold stain and it is thin and I spent a long time prepping to stain then when I stained I immediately didn’t like the color thought maybe it would differently but it did not it is an ugly yellow color plus it is spotty and did not cover well you can see every spot that got double coated. I’m not even sure how to fix this horrible mess

Two years ago we treated our new deck with Olympic Maximum Honey Gold and afterward it looked great! We had waited about a year for the wood on the new deck to cure before sealing. Now, after two years, the deck appears to need sealing again. It was super dirty with two years' accumulation of crud from the trees, but it cleaned up well with pressure washing. We decided to just go ahead and seal again, even though the Olympic Max is a 4-year sealant. I really think that four years is pushing it; that's why I rated it 4 stars instead of 5. Actually, we're very pleased with the color, the transparency, and reasonableness of the longevity.
As an aside, When I first went looking for the Olympic Max, I couldn't find it (another story), so I bought a water-based honey gold from another manufacturer. Bad mistake! When I again found the Olympic Max, I took the other back and then stained the deck.

Looks great on my new deck.
My wife and I applied it to our new deck. Went on well. Took a little more than 24 hours to dry. The Canyon Brown is a great woodsy color. It is easy to get lap lines if you don't apply it evenly. Hoping it will last 3 years.
