A: It would be fine in AZ or in the northern states. I am in San Antonio, TX and this plant survived temps in the low single digits without protection. Below freezing for three days. Also, try Roseglow Barberry. It stays dark purple to dark burgundy.

Q:When will this concorde barberry show the blueish shade? I just received mine and it looks like a regular green and burgundy barberry.

A: Once the plant grows and begins to mature in size, the leaves will be a deep maroon to purple-black, and it changes hues throughout the year. The center leaves will be green, but you won?t be able to see them because of the intensity of the deep colors.

This is NOT the picture

Very very disappointed, this is NOT the picture presented on the website. These are the same ones that I could have bought locally at any retail store including Home Depot for a fraction of the price. The bark looks dry even, not healthy and definately not a purple concord, waste of gas to return. Will not buy plants online again, lesson learned! Always buy in person!

Gorgeous addition

They were as described and delivered timely. It was awkward having them come in a cardboard box that had been bouncing around the delivery truck, but they did remain mostly safe. They were picked well (almost exact same size) and will be a wonderful addition to our landscape

It was alive. That's about all I can say for it. I drenched it gently and put in in a protected area for now. The leaves still on it were crispy and mostly fell off. Green ones are starting to show. It will survive, but remains to be seen if it will ever look like the one in the picture.
