Lemon Lights Azaleas put on a stunning display of lemon-yellow floral beauty by early spring. After long, gray and dreary winters, these bright shades of yellow pierce through yards and landscapes like the first warm rays of sunshine in April. The flowers grown on a Lemon Lights Azalea are notably large and the shade of yellow changes across the blossom. Ranging from an almost translucent pale yellow in the tips of their petals to a brighter, sunnier and more vivid shade in the trumpet, this unique Azalea is often considered bi-colored. Lemon Lights is a cultivar that remains compact at maturity, reaching a height between 4 ft. and 5 ft., with an equal spread of also 4 ft. to 5 ft. The Lemon Lights Azalea is another cultivar developed with the Northern Lights series of plants by the University of Minnesota. The overarching goal of the Northern Lights series was to bring the same elements of splendor and elegance so well-known in Southern gardens to those of Northern climates as well. This means that Lemon Lights produces its dazzling blossoms all the way down to minus 30°F. Smells wonderful
I am in Southern California Zone 9b. This azalea was ordered in the early part of the year and planted the day after delivery. The plant was dormant, but had many buds that were yellow with a slight green hue. I dug a proper sized hole and placed the azalea in with some acidic ground soil mix. I stirred in a little bit of Azalea Tone by Epsoma along with a bit of Soil Acidifier by Epsoma. The soil was kept moist. Around spring the leaves began to open up. On the top was a nice bouquet of yellow and white azalea flowers. The smell was very sweet and gentle. I highly recommend this plant.
Make sure to keep the soil acidic and keep the area somewhat shady.

Great Experience
This is the first time I’ve ordered a plant online, but it arrived at my doorstep within a week after I ordered it! The plant was packaged very nicely with a burlap sack covering the entire base of the plant to keep the soil in place.
I ordered in late July, so there weren’t any blooms, but it is doing well in my backyard. I am excited to see the yellow blooms next year!

Plant arrived healthy
Shipping was fast. I was worried that the hot weather would kill the plant during shipping. Plant arrived in excellent condition, healthy green leaves and a decent size 15 inches. It was a little expensive but I really wanted a yellow azalea. It's been in the ground for 2 weeks now and the plant is thriving.
