      Update to Very Dry post
I was worried the tree wouldn't live, but so far it's been two months and it still lives. However, because I was worried it wouldn't live I purchased another tree from the local nursery here. So, in comparison, I paid 15 dollars more for the tree on the right in the photo. The left tree is the Home Depot tree, the right tree is the nursery tree.

Roots appeared to be pruned off
3rd tree from same vendor with very few roots, 97% of roots appear to be pruned off, 6 major roots cut cleanly. Limbs obviously must be pruned for shipment, I've ordered many trees on-line with others that had limbs pruned, no problems. 2 other trees from this company also dead, they appeared to have ALL roots pruned off, at least this one had a few small ones left, see photo. But this was the ONLY one of the three with any roots. Cutting roots is a deadly practice for trees.

I ordered 2 trees and they came quickly and were packed well so they arrived in perfect condition. They are beautiful little trees, both with green leaves. Very pleased with this purchase.

I am impressed with the packaging and the tree. It came healthy and bigger than expected.

One of two trees purchased shows NO SIGN of life. Delivery was prompt. Packaging was good. Not angry but guess I'll have to file a claim.
