Questions & Answers

Does it need a lot of sun? And is sage a spice?

Asked by: Mimi
Yes, it does need at least 5 or more hours of sun a day. Yes, there is a plant called a sage, but this is not the herb. I wanted a meadow sage as they attract butterflies. I have an annual blue salvia and I love it! It is easy to care for and is beautiful. Just dead head the old flowers and it will continue to thrive.

1 Gal. May Night Meadow Sage Plant is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unhappy no sooner then I got plant homeit dried up and looks terrible. What to do ???
Date published: 2012-06-10
Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice plant nice looking plant, shipped in time and was alive and in good shape
Date published: 2012-09-12
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Time will tell It is hard for me to say how my perennial blue salvia will do at this time. When I got the plant it looked pretty dead but I was told that is how they come. I planted, cut back the dead and watered. The plant is surviving and green. I think for the amount of money it is a bit on the small side. The reason I wouldn't recommend is that I would advise checking with a nursery in your area first. They may have what you want at the same price and at least the plant would probably be blooming and thriving when you purchased it.
