Very hardy, long-lived perennial with large, bold, eye-catching, cream and green variegated, fern-like foliage, of which the edges turn an irregular pinkish color in the cool days of spring. Short, 12 in. tall stems bear bell-shaped, light blue flowers in late spring. Compact, clump forming, 15 in. tall and wide, foliage provides good contrast to other plants in the landscape. Plant in full or part sun in moist, well drained soils. Combines well with purple Heuchera and deep green ferns. Good for naturalizing or in rock gardens, or in a cutting garden.
