    How do you align the screws with the pre-drilled holes in the handle? Even with using an ice pic...

    It is a tight fit, but they do line up. You just have to push and twist while trying to finish up with the holes aligned. The ice pic may help but you cannot pry with the pic to line them up. A little wd40 on the shaft may help some.

    Thanks for the answer. However, I am a regular guy. Not much of a handyman. This product ought to be looked at again. It is not very user-friendly.

    The 2 screws that came with the handle and snow shovel, eere too big for the holes in the handles.

    The screws are not to big, they are self tapper screws. If you use a drill/driver or a reg phillips driver you just have to press hard to start them then they go in easier.

    does it have a metal edge? I need plastic

    For light fluffy powder
    I know this winter is a little heavier than normal. But save your money and get a steel or aluminum shovel. This lasted me a month and a half.

    the best part about the original was the material, all Aluminum
    These are cheaply made. Had mine for well over 40 years. The blade is worn away but the body is still good. Don't think theses newer once would last that long .
