Q:To clarify, the description specifically says for support: Perfect for use as counter supports on kitchens islands AND 8 in. Depth makes this the perfect fit for under counter support. Is this correct or can it not be used for support?

A:  Hey Caroline, These can be used as supports for a wooden island top, however, i would not recommend for use with a granite countertop. That is too much weight for these corbels.

      A:  Hello Crystal, thank you for your question! If using the keyhole brackets only, then no, we do not recommend these corbels to be used to hold up a granite bar. We do not rate these corbels for load bearing capabilities because the method of installation and the substrate the the corbel is mounted to can vary greatly. Hopefully this is helpful!
