Flower Fruit and Vegetable 32 oz. Insect Killer is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 275.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from WTF.......Weed and Feed Killed my lawn Soooooooo, I have had a great looking lawn using Green Max fertilizer for the last few years. I decided that this year, for the first time, I would do the smart thing and try some weed and feed instead of regular fertilizer. So I took a trip to Lowe's and right by the front door, low and behold, they had about 10,000 bags of this stuff. So I bought a bag...bad idea. I put it on my lawn exactly like the instructions said and after about 5 days the lawn was completely dead. I walked across the lawn and it sounded like I was walking across corn flakes. I decided to water the heck out of it to wash out this lawn poison and after a month.......still corn flakes. All of the neighbors have been wondering what kind of moron kills their lawn. That was until like 10 other people in the neighborhood had the same bright idea and killed their lawns too. Turns out they all used this Lawn Napalm produced by Scotts. I have now had to re-sod everything. Just love wasting my time and money! Thanks Scotts!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This used to be a superb product I followed the Scott's yearly regimen for several years with beautiful results, but two years ago was working full time plus earning a masters degree so had little time for the lawn. Last fall I completed the masters program and began the Scott's regimen again with Bonus S Southern Weed and Feed applied in October 2013. All winter the dollarweed and several other weeds thrived while the St. Augustine lay dormant. I hit the lawn again in early March with Southern Weed and Feed but the weeds seemed only to grow faster and turn greener. A week ago I hit the lawn again with Southern Weed and Feed and left for a business trip. Came home today (3/30) to find that not only had the weeds not suffered at all, they had spread into further parts of my yard. now at least 1/3 of my front lawn is covered with dollar weed, fern like weeds, and other sorts. Where Bonus S used to work wonders, now it only seems to exacerbate the problem. I need to find something else before I lose my entire lawn.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Damaged Lawn and Didn't kill weeds! I've use this product for the past 4 years on my centipede grass lawn and everyone said my lawn looked the best in the neighborhood. The would even ask me my secret and I would say Scotts Bonus S. This year what a mess. I applied it just like I always do e.g. mow lawn, apply with spreader per specifications, water in or allow rain to do it. Now I have large patches of yellow grass, lots of weeds, dead grass or sparse areas. My lawn has never looked so bad. I've never seen so many weeds that weren't killed. I had to start pulling the weeds by hand. Plus, I had to spend time breaking up large chunks of fertilizer in the bag. I paid $267 dollars for 6 bags and only applied four. I applied bug killer at the same time like always so I don't think that is an issue. The funny thing is that it seemed to damage the centipede grass but helped the patch of what I believe to be Bermuda flourish. I believe other posts say that Scotts changed the recipe. All I can say is go back to the old recipe! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Killer? Short and sweet, I have sprayed this directly on some of the bugs and watched them walk/crawl/fly away like I just gave them a shower. I have also sprayed this on my plants with the same result. My bugs don't mind this at all and actually asked me to write a thank you note to Ortho: "Dear Ortho, Thank you for making this salad dressing for us, it is so tasty! Keep up the good work! -Mike's Bugs"

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Killed my lawn I've used Scotts products thrice yearly for about 15 years and the bonus s weed and feed for as many as I can remember. My lawn is in the worst condition I have ever experienced. Approximately 30% of the St. Augustine grass area was severely yellowed. 95% of the Centipede areas is completely dead as if it were sprayed down with a full-on vegetation killer. The Bermuda grass however, looks as green and healthy as ever. I'm very disappointed and in shock at the current state of my lawn. I have always grown my lawn naturally by cultivating the present grasses and treating the weeds (hence my mixture of grass types). However, half of my lawn is now completely dead (the centipede area). It will be impossible to keep weed infestation under control without spending quite a bit of money to sod approximately 15,000 feet. I obviously do not know what was wrong with this production run, but can not afford to take any risk on Scott's products ever again as this is going to cost me in a big way. :-( [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tired of Products That Don't Work I have used Bonus S for the past ten years on my St. Augustine lawn in the Dallas area. It used to work very well. I use it both early spring and fall. The past four years or so, I spend hours on end pulling up or treating a multitude of weeds including dandelions, hen bit, crabgrass, hemlock, and more. This followed the price increase and I wonder if the formula changed with the price. (The now typical American company policy, more for us and screw the customer.) I also wonder if the product is not stored properly by the Dallas area retail stores who place it outdoors. Any small hole in the plastic package could cause rain to seep in and activate the product so that it becomes useless. I often find large hard chunks in the packages. I am beyond fed up with buying products that don't work and wasting my time with them. This product is impossible to return if it doesn't work, and impossible to prove that it was used properly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Confused With the exception of last year(in which I used a spray weed killer), I have used Bonus S for years. I am confused about how I could get such bad results this year. I applied Bonus S 2 weeks ago to my centipede grass, and have nearly killed my lawn. At least the weeds are gone. The Bermuda grass it claims to "damage" seems to be the only thing doing well. The soil has been tested and doing well. I am afraid that I will have to just re-sod my whole yard because I do not have multiple seasons left to build it back up. Also your directions are confusing. Online you say to apply dry, but the package says moist. Everywhere except for the online description says it can damage Bermuda; online states its for Bermuda as well. I have to agree with online because my unwanted Bermuda is flourishing. just confused about what changed if anything. the temps were correct and we have had steady rainfall. hopefully this will recover.
