For fleas, we water this in but how much water? Should the lawn be not watered for a set number ...

AnswerWe appreciate your questions regarding Ortho Home Defense Insect Killer for Lawns Granule. This product does not need to be watered in immediately but needs to be watered in, in order for it to be activated. If there is suppose to be a light rain within the next day or 2, then you can wait for mother nature to water it in. It can be reapplied anytime there are signs of new insect activity. It should not need to be reapplied for at least 7-14 days at the lowest application rate. If it's applied at the heaviest application rate, the product should not need to be reapplied for 3 months. Long time user but things are different now...
I have used and loved Ortho products forever but this last purchase leaves me wondering if they have changed their formula.
Sadly enough the granules have not even scared the ants and I’m not sure the grubs even know the stuff is there. Something is definitely different. Unfortunately I purchased three bags at once.

Not happy
We bought this prouduct for a flea plormblem that we have in our yard. It didnt kill the fleas at all, they are still in our yard. We are really not happy with this product.

Dry granules don't work
I have used the Home Defense liquid spray for years and it works great indoors and outdoors. I recently moved and have 3 acres so I tried the dry Home Defense granules. I put lots of it on and around a large ant nest and it had no effect on the ants. Later my wife got bitten by the ants so I sprayed the ant hill with the liquid Home defense. 2 days later the entire colony was dead.
Don't waste your money on the dry granules; use the liquid spray on everything!

This stuff saved my phobia!
I am a regular customer to Ortho Home Defense Max. When it was time for my regular trip, the store did not have any. I decided to try this stuff instead due to the massive wolf spiders I have in my yard (HATE spiders, and the reason I started using Ortho). This stuff is amazing. I have not found a single dead spider in my house since I used it. Usually with the spray they would make it into the house, but you would find them dead or starting to die. I haven't had the chance to check the yard yet, but I hope I am just as pleased!
