AnswersI would say yes. I sprayed bushes, trees, plants the house and brick. The only insect I noticed that didn't die was the lantern fly. Wasp, bees, spiders have not returned after a week.

AnswersYes but I certainly would not spray this formula on anything you plan to eat from your garden. Used as a ground, perimeter spray it will cause the critters to go elsewhere.

AnswersYes. Direct contact will work within 6 seconds. Perimeter spray will eventually kill them but they must interact (crawl) over the area sprayed. Suggestion, soak the area where you suspect they live.

When using the home defense rell in a pump sprayer can it be diluted with water?

AnswersThis question has been answered several times. This refill unit is already diluted to the consistency that allows it to work. Diluting it further would only cause your insect problem to NOT go away. It is recommended that you use this with the sprayer the original Home Defense product came with. You will not be happy with the results of further dilution. As a precaution, do not use this product outside the Home. This product is marketed as Home Defense for a reason. Do not allow family or pets to access areas treated with this product, until it has completely dried out. It is safe to use but in its WET state, the product could cause harm to family or pets.

This is a great product. I have been using this for years. I have trust in this product. Ortho has earned it. I use Home Defense in the house, the crawlspace, the attic and the garage. I would highly recommend the purchase of the spray with battery wand. It makes the job so much easier.

I just moved back to southern Arizona and rented a beautiful house. The realtor told me they sprayed this inside before I moved in. It definitely works! I've seen a few dead roaches and a few scorpions. They end up, upside down, when they die. I saw the scorpions dying from the spray. Mind you, this house was sprayed 6 months ago and it's still killing bugs! So I definitely recommend this product. I'm going to have to re-spray here soon and I have a little dog. Never done it b4, wish me luck!

I've been using this product for years keeping the ants out of my house. It used to be hard to apply as it had a pump spray and it used to have the work max on the bottle. Bought a bottle this years and the ants were killed... For a day. Used the entire gallon just on the back of my house over the course of a week. The ants were back the very next day every time. I went to my basement and found what was left of last years bottle(i used it last year inside and out in my house and had left over), and since i didn't have much left I sprayed just the problem areas. (The back of my house where i wasted an entire gallon of this years product.) The ants are gone. Its been 4 days and they haven't come back. So as my titla says it used to be great but apparently they decided to upgrade to a wand so that its easier to apply, but changed to an inferior product that no longer works. I would much rather pumo spray a product that is effective than wand a prduct that might as well be water.

I found carpet beetles in my rugs and in my closet. Upon seeing them, I threw away the rugs and items that were infested. I then put every piece of clothing item I had in my house and bagged them. I started vacuuming every thing in my house to include the baseboards. Once everything was thrown away or bagged i started spraying this along the walls. I took out the light switches and sprayed in there as well. I vacuumed the furniture including the back side and then sprayed this behind the sofas and headboards. I did this once a week. I moved the stove and fridge and made sure to spray behind there as well. I vacuumed daily to pick up any eggs and inspected everything. I would find dead carpet beetles so I knew it was working. After 6 weeks of cleaning and inspecting like a mad women I fogged the house. I haven't seen any carpet beetles. I read that the eggs dont die so you have to continue treating so in a month I'll fog again and continue putting this in the cracks. If you want to get rid of bugs you cant just put this down and hope for the best. Get rid of clutter where bugs will hide. Put clothing in plastic totes as you fight bugs. If you fight them you will win but you cant be lazy. It took me hours of daily deep cleaning to fight the carpet beetles because I had to vacuum everything in my home such as windowsills and places you rarely think of vacuuming.

I spray and barrier around my house; inside and out. And when I checked later there's dead bugs, flies, & spiders everywhere. I'll clean them up and spray another barrier. This stuff works like magic. Keeps the critters away.

This insect killer works great for us! Keeps everything away. We were camping in our travel trailer for an extended time and had a horrible ant and spider problem. I sprayed all around the camper, up and down everything that connected to the ground and the problem was solved. Four weeks I did not have to do anything else. Even after a heavy rain the ants stayed away. Some spiders dared but never made it inside.
This product is also safe for your children and pets to be around. We have both. I also sprayed inside. Just spray when they’re not around, let it dry and that’s it.
I strongly recommend this.

It works for a while but need to keep applying about every week. Also spray nozzle has clogged numerous times I have contacted Ortho. Wish it worked better and wish there was other products out there that worked better.
