Coating comes off!
These are handy bowls but the coating on the outside comes off in the dishwasher. This wouldn't be so bad if you could then peel off the rest of the coating, but you can't and it just flakes off into the other bowls it's stored with. Very disappointed!

Color coating will peel off
Do not place this item in the dishwasher. The colored coating will peel off. I contacted the manufacturer today and was told that although the item is dishwasher safe, they recommend only handwashing it. The bowls are lightweight and easy to handle.

I received a set of these attractive mixing bowls for Christmas and was very impressed with the color, sizes, and seemingly quality. I have been using them periodically for mixing cakes , breads and marinating. They look great with glass front cabinets or open shelves. Three months after receiving the color coating started peeling off. Whichever was convenient they were either washed by hand with Dawn or run through the dishwasher using Cascade. They are very nice bowls, however, the manufacturer would be proactive addressing this. Should this it be corrected they would have a great product. I would definitely recommend this product should this deficiency be corrected
