Contemporary Abstract Beige 8 ft. x 10 ft. Area Rug

The first thing I noticed about the Ottomanson Contemporary Abstract Beige 8'x10' area is it is very lightweight and thinner than any I have ever bought previously. I had ordered it online so I did not see it before it arrived. I like the colors and the design, it fit well into my décor. All of the ends were in tact and the rug has never frayed. I purchased this rug 6 months ago. Last night I needed to spot clean the rug in one spot due to a mud print from my son's shoe. I used clean water and a damp cloth. Today the entire rug is wavy and buckled. I have enclosed pictures and you can see where it is raised. The 2 inch by 3 inch area I spot cleaned, is not even where the rug waved. It seems like the weave has stretched and no amount of weight will fix it. The directions state that this area rug can be spot cleaned with a solution of mild detergent. I did not even use any, it was clear water, yet the rug still buckled. I think perhaps there is a defect in this particular area rug, as I have purchased from this company in the past and have never experienced this issue. I contacted Home Depot as well as Ottomanson and no one could fix or rectify this situation. I just want others to know that this area rug CAN NOT be spot cleaned or wiped with a cloth in any way, without being damaged. I can not believe this whole weave buckled after spot cleaning 1 spot.

Light-weight, Large, Soft. This rug was used to cover the carpeted floor of our media room that is a high traffic areas when used. The softness of the Ottomansion Black Contemporary Abstract Area Rug transformed the look and feel of the room. While the colors were not as dark as pictured on the label the area coverage was near what is advertised minus 2" on each side. With the noticeable absence of a non-slip backing the semi abrasive nature of the stitching would be ruff on hardwood flooring and move unless weighted down by furniture. It will take time to weigh down edges and corners to ensure they remain flat if going to be used in a living room area. This Ottomanson Rug still is an awesome addition to our room and will be enjoyed in its entirety.

This appears to be a well-made rug that should hold up to a good amount of traffic. We have placed it in our sun room and it brightens up an already well lit space. I like the colors and the size is perfect for the space. The rug is a low pile rug and the specs say it is fade resistant which I home for since the room gets a large amount of sun in the mornings. There was not much smell when we put it down as compared to other rugs we have purchased. Hope this one lasts for a long time.

This is a really nice, soft rug. I like the pattern. Matched the interior in my home. For the price I was pleased. Would buy again.

It's the wrong size. Too large for the room. It's still unopened and waiting to be returned.
