Very Dissapointed
The quality of the wood is terrible!!! Nothing in the box looks like the pictures. All of the wood in the box looks as if it should be in the cull pile. Examples, bent, chipped holes in the boards where knots fell out. Cannot understand that this costs over $75 for a 8ft section. I am calling to return the product.

The Western Cedar wood was actually just what I wanted for my "barn door" project...Had plenty of knots and coloration patterns to make it very interesting...But I can't give it 5 stars because most of the wood was shipped with a very high moisture content...perhaps OK for making a fence, but not suited to gluing together into a solid door, since it will crack as it dries out. So I dried the wood out for a week or so and then sanded one side of the boards and tong and groved them...then I assembled it without glue, waiting until this winter, when the dry house heat finishes shrinking the boards, then I will glue it unto a solid door.
The wood boards were all in great shape when they arrived: None were cracked, warped or unusable (some earlier reviews said that they were unusable).

There were a few bent boards and one post had a pretty good size split but other than that it went together well and I am pretty happy with the quality and result. I built this a little differently, I wanted to see the post and I tapered the ends.

On time delivery. The fence kit was perfect for the application i.e., an existing metal frame. Neighbors & tenants are happy with the results.

The pickets are rough sawn from green stock. If shrinkage gaps are no issue, then this is your kit! In Arizona dry heat, mine shrank about a 1/4” in width with minor twisting. Overall the fence is very attractive with a natural finish applied.
