Awesome raised planter
This raised planter is a great piece that goes together quickly and is easy to assemble. It requires no tools, and only took me about 30-45 minutes to put together. I recommend assembling in place, as moving it does take 2 people once assembled. Moving after adding soil and/or plants is definitely not something I would recommend.
One or two of the side slats was slightly damaged, but it did not affect assembly at all. See photos. I used a staple gun to hold the felt in place so the sides didn't fall when adding soil. I was able to fit about 15-18 individual herb plants in the full planter.
I only have a few things to know before buying. First, the center horizontal supports (on the 2' side) can interfere with planting in the middle of the planter. Just beware when digging here. Second, some of the longer slats are slightly warped. They seem to warp worse when wet from rain or watering, then settle a little when dry. It doesn't affect the planter much, but just watch it closely that the bottom rails that hold the bottom slats don't warp too much to cause issues with soil retention.

good looking planter
This is a well-made, good looking planter that can grow most veggies. It is 11" deep, which is sufficient for most vegetables and many flowers.
Set up is easy, there are different parts of the planter that fit together well. Design is intuitive and directions are simple to follow.
Assembly must be done on a flat surface. Assembled empty planter is light enough to reposition, full one will be impossible to move. Fabric inserts are provided to keep the soil inside. Its height makes it very easy to plant and harvest.
Overall, this is a nice looking, convenient tall planter that can grow most vegetables and many flowers.

A quick and easy build!
A wonderful small size ‘starter’ planter. We got this one just for planting some flowers. We have other ones that we use for raising some veggies on the deck, but this one will be dedicated to flowers. And it goes together incredibly easy! All parts (except bottom slats) are dovetailed, so there is only one way to put it together. Most important part - make sure that the rails with the ‘ledge’ are on the bottom. They will be the pieces that hold the bottom slats. It’s a ‘no tool’ type planter, but a rubber mallet is recommended. And tap the pieces in gently and evenly, all the way down. After the bottom rail is in, the others follow very easily. Do the same on all four sides. Make sure to put the ‘slotted’ slats in the corners. Be sure and leave a slight gap between the slats, to allow proper drainage. Staple in the provided landscape fabric, and you’re done. The fabric prevents the dirt from seeping through. Easy build, about 20 minutes.

Great looking cedar box !
I have gotten this box for my herbs. The outdoor essential Homestead 2 x 8 cedar elevated garden planner Has plenty of room for a lot of whatever it is you want to put in it. Easy to put together and no tools required . You simply slide the pieces into place and then you see the finished product. Very nice looking box. The only issue I have is one of the pieces was broken in half but I was able to use some wood glue to put it together hopefully it stays within the weather As we’ve been having a lot of rain lately. Other than that I would definitely recommend this product.

ATTRACTIVE: FUNCTIONAL; EASY TO ASSEMBLE WITH MALLET; GREAT HEIGHT
The Outdoor Essentials Homestead 18 in. x 36 in. Cedar Elevated Garden Planter (Tool Free), Natural Cedar is attractive, functional, and sturdy. Its cedar fragrance is noticeable as soon as you open the box. It is easy to assemble but you will need a mallet to insert most of the pieces so it is not quite tool free. It comes with a quality landscape fabric to contain the 3 cubic feet of planting medium. The most appealing feature to me is its height of 27". That means that I do not need to bend over when working with it. More important, the elevated height should keep the wildlife critters which previously have devoured my young seedlings planted in the ground in the spring, from getting access to my seedlings planted in this planter. I like the size which is not too big or too small but just right for my needs to start seeds in the spring and to display annuals for the remainder of the growing season. Since I see no country of origin listed on the packaging or instructions, I assume that this planter is made in the USA.

Goes together so easily!!!
This Outdoor Essentials Homestead 18 in. x 36 in. Cedar Elevated Garden Planter (Tool Free) went together very easily! The only tool I used was a rubber mallet to tap the boards into place. The instructions were pretty easy to follow, and it only took me about 15 minutes to put it together. I was surprised the boards went in so easy! I really like that it's elevated on its legs so I don't have to do too much bending to plant and tend the plants.

Great Buy
Great buy!! We were able to assemble it fast and easily. Very sturdy and attractive. Plan to use it for herbs, which I'm planning to purchase from Home Depot as well!!
