Yes, that is exactly what I did on my girlfriend's house. It has a steep valley next to a parapet wall and a lot of water passes through this small area. A leak had developed because in a hard rain the water was getting under the shingles and slowly soaking the plywood roof decking

Excellent Underlayment for Metal Roofs
This under-layment is excellent for under metal roofs. It is about 50% cheaper than the Grace Ice & Water Shield HT. One person can easily install the strips. Prior to starting your project, cut off a 3' piece and play around with the films. Note the stickiness of the bottom strip when the outside temp is 60 degrees versus 90 degrees. My installation strips were about 18' long. Contrary to the videos, the stuff is very hard to remove once it is laid down on plywood sheathing, if you lay it out wrong and the outside temp is above 80 degrees. If you have to install a strip under metal flashing, then 2 people of are needed and the outside temp should be 70 degrees or less - i.e. the strips do not slide very easy under the edge of a metal flashing. Pay particular attention to the order that you remove the plastic backing films (there are 3). I removed the bottom half film and then the top half film, once the strip was tacked into place. I did not remove the top 3" wide film until the next strip was in place on top. The black tar residue cleans up very good with WD-40. This stuff is 10 times better than 30# roofing felt.

I have used several different types of self sealing waterproofing underlayment and the Owens Corning Self Sealing Waterproofing Underlayment has been the easiest to use. It sticks well to the plywood and doesn't "get wrinkles" in it. It lays down very easily, my wife was able to help me install it. Great Product, would definitely recommend this to my friends and neighbors.
