A: Hello Aaron, While R-13 can be used to add additional thermal value to your attic a R-13 would alone would not be sufficient. when adding additional insulation over existing insulation in the attic you want the insulation to be unfaced to prevent trapping moisture. Q:In a basement block wall where foam board is against the wall, then 2x4 studs are against the foam board, and then these rolls in between the 2x4 studs, should there be a vapor barrier? If so, where is the vapor barrier placed?

Installed in my cabin

I installed it in my cabin up north. It was easy to work with. Remember if you use the roll to stretch it out as you get into it. It cut easily with a razor knife, paper side down, I know that sounds weird but thats how you cut it. This is not like insulation of old. I didn't get all itchy. I installed it in my cabin which is 32x12 in 1 day pretty much by myself. I noticed a difference that night. I'm looking forward to the snow to see how well it really works!

I had this insulation delivered along with sheet rock for a garage improvement project. It's a go...

I had this insulation delivered along with sheet rock for a garage improvement project. It's a good product and easy to install. The paper flaps on the backing make it convenient to staple to the studs during installation. For figuring purposes, I found that one roll would do about four standard 16 inch spacings between studs with a little left over for patching small areas.Simple enough that my middle school child was able to install with me.
