Please note that the kraft facing is combustible and must be covered by a 15 minute thermal barrier such as 1/2" drywall. Depending on your garage door size and type a product such as our garage door kit may be a product that will work. Fiberglass insulation loses it's insulating capabilities when you compress it (it's all of those little air pockets that prevent heat/cold transfer). Although you can compress it to 1.5", it will no longer have an R value of 13.

Just a little, but if you're studs are 14.5" - 15" apart you'll be fine.
Would be a tight fit with zero air flow above it. Really should have some air flow! Also building code is R-38 in most areas with air flow above it. Unless this this a playhouse or shed probably not a good idea
