Easy to use and install
Used this insulation for the walls and ceiling in my back yard workshop. Since I live in the desert, I wanted the maximum insulation possible and this R-30 does the job nicely. It cuts easily with a utility knife & straight edge and does not have the handling problem of fiberglass. At 23" wide and 6" thick, it gets the job done quickly and easily. One roll covers about 3 sections between studs 8 feet high.

The insulation came well packaged and was easy to roll out in my attic. Home Depot was able to order into the store, this wider 23"in insulation that's hard to find. when I went to the store to pick it up it was a breeze the guys brought it out on a forklift and pallet and put it in my truck and trailer. I really appreciate that. Home Depot #1 in my book.

I ordered 2 rolls at first. They was exactly what I wanted. It was 9.5 inches thick. I had split the roll to fit in the ceiling and walls (6 inches and 3.5 inches) and I used the paper that it's wrapped in to make strips to hold it in ceiling. So I ordered 20 more rolls. I saved tons of money by doing it that way. I have no complaints on the insulation. It's doing its job. Insulating.

No such thing as too much insulation in an old home. I pulled 1st floor ceiling s down and insulated between floors. Cutting out drafts and helping both heat and ac to be more efficent/stable. Always look at cost per Sq ft for best value.

Great product as far as insulation goes! Had to replace some older insulation that got wet above our foundation wall in the basement due to a pipe elbow joint separating after freezing and then thawing. Not 100% sure but it seems to produce less "dust" than other brands I've purchased in the past.

If it was banded together to the pallet, I would have given it 5 stars. Otherwise it's as advertised and less hassle than manhandling the bundles on to multiple carts. The rolls are much easier to handle when installing into long lateral stud bays on the 30 x 40 pole barn/shop I just built

Insulation of a Old house built in 1900's with timber spacing that is not consistent, this R-30 was easy to cut and work with to insure we got it where we needed it. The rolls were easy to move with one person doing the work. Our old house is getting warmer and heating cost is going down.

Exactly what I needed to get the job done. It was packaged well and able to fit 20 rolls in the Chevy Acadia. It helped tremendously with the temperature in the house especially upstairs. The rolls were easy to maneuver and cut to size. I am glad I went with this over the blown in due to the look and not having to rent a machine to get it done. The rolls didn't create a big mess that blown in insulation creates. You still need to wear a mask, but I have done blown in and it gets everywhere.

For my attic project I ordered quite a bit of items: plywood sheathing, dimensional lumber and 20 of the 15" R-30 rolls (to obtain bulk pricing per roll) and 6 of the 25" R-30 rolls to insulate the rest of my attic space. Since I have a trailer I ordered online and picked-up in store. The 20 rolls came in (3) 6-packs that are sealed and each pair inside zip-tied then 2 individual rolls. In one of the 6-packs there were only 5 rolls. I didn't notice at the store since they were stacked on a pallet, bundled tight with the zip tie and the packaging makes it difficult to see the contents. I thought I had looked it over good enough but evidently I did not. My suggestion would be to make absolutely sure all 6 rolls are in each bundle before you leave the store/accept delivery. The insulation worked out good however and was easy to handle and cut to length. I would buy these again but I would make it a point to account for each roll.

In the Spring of 2017, I purchased a 25 year-old house in Leesburg, VA. It had the original builders "blown-in" insulation that had settled to ~ 3" along w/some bare areas. The summer was extremely hot on the 2nd floor and the AC ran almost continuous. This fall (Nov & Dec 2017) I installed 48 rolls of R30 in the attic to achieve a rating of R30 near the eaves and R60 in the center of the attic. In addition, I installed a foil Radiant Barrier on the attic's ceiling joists. This was recommended to reflect the infrared heat during the summer. Currently ( Dec. 15, 2017) it is 23 degrees outside, the 1st floor is a comfortable 72 degrees; the heating vents are closed on the 2nd floor and it is 70 degrees. I've noticed the gas furnace is cycling less often than it normally would. I am very pleased with the results and look forward to a more comfortable summer.

This product was very easy to install, in this case, as ceiling insulation in a garage with a cold roof design. Baffles protecting the birdblock vents we're previously installed, so the insulation bats we're positioned snuggly against those. Installation in the outer, low roof angle regions were easy, by use of a fiberglass roller paint pole as a tool to both lift and push outward the bat from the underside first. Overall, the bats provided a very uniform layer of R-30 insulation. There was only minimal fiberglass "dust" from this product. I would prefer insulation bats over blow in personally, as there was almost no clean up afterwards, and unlike blow in, there is no settling, assuring instead a known R-value. Great product. The image is of bats being lifted through an access opening in a 16' high ceiling.

This product is easy to install and the rolls are of a consistent shape and length. There was only one roll that was about 2-3 feet shorter and a lot thinner at one of its ends. I will need to go get a new one to replace it.

I found this product extremely easy to work with, recommended gloves/long sleeves and a mask. I used in my kitchen for insulating and soundproofing. I used both faced and unfazed behind the green board. It worked well in between the plumbing and overall.. Im very pleased. I plan to buy more for another layer or two in my attic.

Very cost effective. We bought a 30+ year old house with little to no attic insulation. We installed two layers of R- 30 unfaced insulation to gain a recommended R-Value of 60 for our climate. The first roll was installed parallel with the ceiling joists, the second layer was installed perpendicular to the first layer. We have already seen a difference in our heating bills.

I'm happy with my decision to go with the 24"x48" batts. They were true to their size. Since I installed them perpendicular to the rafters, they were a manageable size. I've only just finished installing the insulation. So far, it meets my expectations. I will enjoy being warmer in the winter, and cooler in the summer.

    Insulation at last !!!!
We live in Texas so the summers are brutal. We really needed insulation in this old house but the prices we got from contractors were just too high. The people at Home Depot were very helpful in explaining how the process would work. As you can see from the before picture the old insulation was nearly gone and now it looks amazing. We are very excited to see how much money we save on our upcoming utility bills. Thanks for all your help !!!

Easy to Install - Little Pricey
Our 1950s house had very little insulation in the attic. It took me and the wife 5 hours to do a 1200 square-foot attic. We wore good masks, not the typical painters mask. Like others, we wore gloves and long sleeves. Without them it was a little itchy. It's too bad the price jumped many dollars from just a few years ago. The house does seem quieter alongside a busy street. We have an oil furnace so we can't wait to see the difference this year. Used 36 rolls @ $15 each. I could not use veterans discount on this product. Customer Service told me because it was a hot commodity.

Insulation of inside room's attik inside corragated steel building.
We designed the cealing/roof of the room with two 2 x 6" boards. Which gave us a top box/attik of 12". We insulated with two layers of R30 unfaced batts and than we covered it with particle boards. Our 2 story curugated building is like a owen in summer time with up to 100 degrees. The room we built was on the second floor. The two times R30 will keep the room cool the whole day until evening when tempratur goes down here in California. By using enough with insulation you can accomplish this kind of result.. We used 2 x 6" framing with R19 insulation. This insulation is very easy to use and can be cut with a large pair of scissors to cover any strips.

Hard job made easier with this product
My husband and I purchased this insulation on sale and chose this brand due to its eco friendly properties and R-30 rating. We installed 50 rolls in our attic over a couple of weekends. This product performs as advertised and reviewed: No vocs, itch free, can tear it with your hands if you left your matt knife 20 feet behind you on a board in the attic. Absolutely the best choice we could have made for our project. If you have a low ceiling attic this is the way to go.....easier to roll and push with broom handles to edges than hunch and crouch with the blow-in type insulation which is what I helped my brother do in his attic.

Love the affordable price and perfect for layering up your insulation!
Good stuff, used this in an attic to achieve R60. Used owens corning R30 Kraft batts for first layer and than rolled this out over top. Some people commented it doesn't fluff up as nicely as others and I agree. It's very compressed when purchased, but all it takes is a bit of fluffing. Just grab the top layer and give it a few shakes than grab in the middle and repeat. You can even flip it upside down if needed. I used ten rolls in a small attic area and only one roll took a bit more work than the others to fluff up. The R30 batts practically spring to their fluffiness on their own however so not sure why this stuff is a bit more reluctant. However, it's good stuff, an affordable price, and handy size. No itch and nice touch having the R value printed on the insulation in large visible font. When you're layering up install it running perpendicular to the first layer and be sure to butt the edges together snuggly. Seems to be made for layering without the paper backing, nice touch Owens Corning! Would've been a pain pulling paper off each roll. After installation, heater runs noticeably shorter durations to warm up the room. :-)
