These particular ones seem to be a little thinner Guage but I found them to work just fine. I've ordered corner brackets separately and they're a thicker gauge. The thicker gauge is better for corners but on a straight run these work fine. Close tolerances grip the pipe good.

This shouldn't be used with a cedar fence, right? Or will the fasteners be fine?

I used them on my cedar fence and have had no problems.

I believe so. I attached to standard size metal fence posts. They were absolutely wonderful and saved from having to pull and reset new posts. These are worth their weight I gold!!

They can’t be used with 1 1/4” poles only 2 3/8”. They could be anchored to a brick wall with additional fasteners the ones included won’t work.

Can these brackets be used for attaching to horizantal wood fence with steel post

I think they will, if you run your 2x4 down the post and install you fencing to it.

Could these brackets be used with metal fence posts that aren't round?

Asked by Curious July 12, 2017

Answers

No. The brackets are curved to fit a round post. As you tighten the bolts, it reduces the diameter of the brackets so that it snugs the post tight. The brackets will not be able to snug a non-cylindrical post the way it is meant to.

The metal brackets were not as thick as the ones you get from the store but they did a great job doing what I needed them to do and that’s holding the 2x4’s and pickets within my 1 acre backyard. I liked them because they came with all the hardware needed.

These brackets worked exactly as described. Easy to assemble and great for attaching wood 2x4's to galvanized steel posts. Purchased these to build a new privacy fence. Previous fence was blown down by Hurricane Irma. Note that the box contains all the parts to assemble 50 of these brackets. Thus, the box is quite heavy. First order attempt I received a box that had obviously split open during transit and dumped half its contents before the box was taped up and sent on to me. Second order attempt I had the box sent directly to Home Depot. In the end, I got what I needed and I am very happy.

Easy to use. Would love it if these were made out of thicker metal. These don't supply much torsional rigidity for your rails, so don't climb on the fence rails without pickets attached to them. Overall I really like these. Good clean look, and keeps the fence close to the post unlike some similar products.

Worked great easy to assemble and attach. Came short on lag bolts to attach the runners so had to buy more of those in hardware. A Little flemsy than the ones found at competitions retail but that's what I get for ordering online but almost a buck cheaper. Overall works great

With choose's slim to nun for this type of galvanized bracket it does work well. It is a good design that holds the 2X4's in place, and can be adjusted for leveling. All the necessary hardware was included for attaching the bracket to the galvanized 2 3/8" metal post and the treated Cedar wood 2X4's. My only concern is the bracket material is thin and could be made of heavier gauge material. The brackets were not a stocked item at my local Home Depot and had to be ordered which only took a week to be delivered to my door step. The delivery time gave me time to get the post holes dug and set in concrete using 6" diameter Sona Tubes reducing the need for excess concrete.

AWESOME Product!!!!!
So I'm building a wooden fence with 2 3/8 terminal post. When I first thought of building this fence I had no idea how I was going to even connect the wood to the metal post. I did ALOT of reading and you tube on building a wooden fence with terminal post, this guy I watched used a similar product but from a different company. So I just typed in fence brackets or steel 2 wood brackets and these popped up. I was very skeptical on these because I have never built a fence before I really thought these were to good to be true. For me being a girl, 23 and not having a clue where to start. I started my research on these and boy am I glad I bought these. They bend great I didn't have to buy different brackets for my corners, I only had to use 1 kind of bracket . Now I was a little worried for my only 2 corners these were not going to work but my mom helped me and it all worked out . Plus everything came in the box
