Questions & Answers

Can I use this product in a 2 inch crack

Can I use this product in a 2 inch crack
Asked by: Buddy1972
It depends on if this crack is two inches long or two inches wide. A small crack in concrete two inches long (but not wider than a typical crack in a sidewalk) would be fine to repair with this product. A crack or gap two inches wide would not be repairable with this product. I found that it works well in cracks less than a half an inch wide. Wider than that, it tends to shrink as it cures and will pull away from one side or the other given enough time.

Can this be used to hold stone to an outside wall?

Asked by: Keith
Yes, This product sets up even in water and does become harder and stronger than concrete itself. Good luck!

I was having an issue with my garage stairs leading into my basement leak small amount of water. I was recommended to use this from my local handyman. I applied the Epoxy around the edges and seams of the concrete steps and let dry. The Epoxy was surprisingly easy to apply with a typical caulking gun and not messy during cleanup. I would highly recommend to anyone as it bonds well and have not seen any leaking since!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product I used it to fill cracks on concrete floor. The only problem I have is that the epoxy is quite thick, so you need to open up the crack wide. Also, you need to apply a lot of force on the caulk gun to get the stuff out due to resistance from the long mixing chamber, which makes it slow going. I worked at a temperature of around 50-60 degree F, and the epoxy take a few hours to set at this temperature which allows me plenty of time to work with it. Overall, it is a good product. Very strong when set. Just wish it is thinner so it can flow into the crack easier.
