Drink from the toilet
Well you could I would imagine but I haven't brave myself to do so. I added a spindown filter to catch the larger 50micron in front to assist the pre-filter as it moves into the two tanks. After 2 weeks my family has agreed that their skin is much softer. For DIY, I went with crimp PEX-B and sharkbites for the couplings. i went 1" PEX all round. The difficult piece is finding the elbows, Ts, ball-bearings locally so I went online for these. add 2 water pressure gauges to monitor the system

    Great tasting water!
We have the worst hard water. We bought this system and we could not be happier. The water not only tastes great but it's no maintenance, no salt! We can water our plants and our dishes don't have spots when they come out of the dishwasher. The water straight out of the faucet tastes just like our bottled water so we could discontinue our water delivery.

    Excellent system, highly recommended
Easy to install. Well built. Very nice look with the chrome covers. Great shipping packaging. We are a plumbing company that installs these for customers. We have never received a damaged or defective product. The taste of the water is noticeably excellent. Great system with no pressure or volume loss. HHS Plumbing Southern California

    Better Than Expected
I received my filter system about a month ago but it took me a while to get a plummer to install it. Its in now and it works great. No more water spots on the shower doors or when you wash cars. I can refill water bottles for any place in the house. Don't have to buy bottled water. I just keep refilling the bottles i already have.

      Pelican water system
I bought the 1800 combo about a month ago. I also purchased the install kit. The installation was a breeze for me it took me awhile probably because of my age . Not everyone should attempt the installation unless you have some ability in plumbing. I only had 1 tiny drip leak from the bypass and the pentair company sent a new bypass so fast I could not believe it. Our water Quality is great now. No more chorine in the water. The system works great.

Our New System Gave us Peace of Mind!
We choose the Pelican water system because it uses no salt/brine. Recently heard in the news that a city plant water system in FL was hacked and chlorine levels were higher than normal. I felt secure knowing that we have something in place in case this happens in our community. In addition to the system we decided to install a UV light to take care of the bacteria. There is absolutely no smell in the water specially when showering. Thanks Pelican!!!

      So far works GREAT
Well.... I got into this house thru a friend. It has been vacant , unpowered, unheated for almost 5 years. Needles to say it was a mess. The copper plumbing was all broken from freezing so i pulled it all out and redid it in Pex. While I was replumbing I got city well water turned on and fed my RV we were staying in while we were repairing the house. Boy was it nasty. Extremely chlorinated and bad tasting. Granted, the last 50 years I'm use to Mountain water in the Northwest Oregon area. so it was a radical change. So that lead me to whole house systems. It came down to 2. Culiacan and Pelican. After weighing out the differences Pelican PSE1800 won. I installed it in the equipment closet and finished the plumbing. While finishing we had 3 boil water alerts. So that prompted us to install a UV system (PUV-8) that was added a few weeks later. So now the system is up and running. The water is way better than the nasty stuff before treatment. The real proof will be when we get the rest of the house finished and moved into...

        New filtration system
The install video was a huge help for the plumber. He had no problem installing the system. It talks up even less room than I expected. So far, our water tastes and smells much better.
