The Pentair Freshpoint water filtration system is ok but could be better utilized by altering the installation. I find that to make proper use of this filter system and only filter the drinking water I would install a Single-Handle Water Dispenser Faucet which the Home Depot has several versions of and with just a few modifications to the plumbing you can build yourself a great water filtration system. Fresh Point Easy Flow 1/C It definitely goes beyond my expectations. I feel that this is a detail oriented brand. The accessories are complete and the installation was quite simple. Thought it would be difficult but actually took less than 10 minutes (I'm the handy person in my family). Put the system to use, and after flushing for 5 minutes as the direction recommend. The flow rate is good and the taste is great. You can really taste the difference. I plan to buy another one for my wet bar. A very happy, and highly recommend.

First off this is a lot heftier than I thought... this is one big undersink/undercounter filter. The PENTAIR FRESHPOINT EASY FLOW UNDER COUNTER WATER FILTRATION SYSTEM is just as good but in my opinion better than the filtered water in your fridge. It also apparently filters more contaminates too! After 3 weeks and water testing i can say this a great alternative to the larger units and tons of plastic bottles bought. Some things I like about the freshpoint filtration system. For the same price as a small name brand fridge filter that lasts 6 months this monster filter lasts 12 months on average. And since there's only 2 buttons, 1 to release the filter to change out and the other to turn on the filter sensor. (Press and hold. Blue blinks once for every 3 months, red means - change filter) most simple hardware is included (screwdriver, batteries and 2 wrenches) and the in and out hoses are already connected to the base so that 1 less thing to worry about. And connecting the hoses are easy simply turn off water, open faucet to drain and reattach. Run for 15 minutes to prime filter and that's it. Some things to think about the filter is easily 18 inches tall so undercover space might be tight. Like most plumbing you need the proper connections. The filter uses 3/8in. hoses so if you're using 12in connectors like I do. I had to buy connectors and a new tubing but it worked out well and installed quickly once I had all the supplies I needed.

I was eager receive this under counter water filtration system. I saw that it was easy to install and occupied little space underneath that cabinet. And yes, as far as installation is concerned, yes, it is easy to install. I like that it comes with wrenches to tighten the connections as well as the batteries to power the filtration system. I believe the setup took less than 15 minutes. However when the water was turned back on, the water started and then stopped... I checked the connections, unscrewed and re-screwed, checked the faucet (and yes that Kraus Arqo works without the filtration system), but still water doesn't flow when connected to the filtration system. So I don't know if the faucet I have can't be used with filtration system or if I just received a dud.

I was tired of the rusty water coming from our old house steel pipes and decided to get this Pentair FreshPoint Easy Flow Under Counter Water Filtration System. The installation was very easy and done in no time. Flushing the system took longer (15 min) than the installation. The system is designed for up to 2.2 gal/min which is a little less than we had before, but still acceptable. It's a new product and replacement filter are hard to find, but that hopefully will change by the time I need a replacement filter in a year. The filter replacement button and light is kind of useless. Who crawls under the sink to press the button? I'll put it in my calendar instead.

This water filtration is different than I have ever seen. So easy to install and works on battery. So, if power goes out, this still works! It's small and doesn't take up alot of space under the sink, too. It's well made and seems durable. Although, I only just installed it a few days ago. Seems to work fine. I would recommend this to anyone in an apt setting or RV.

Ideal project to install since it is effortless. Start by turning off your water, disconnect the cold water line from the faucet and connect the system hoses. Turn the water back on and you're ready for cleaner, great-tasting water straight from your faucet. It took about 12 minutes to install. This can be used in your kitchen, or bathroom or anywhere you want fresh clean water. This system requires no special tools required. It comes in white as shown in the photos below.

This point of service water filter is a handy and easy filter to install under a sink. In my case I am using it for a drinking water faucet only in our kitchen, which sits along side the regular faucet. That fact eliminates the moderately low amount of water the filter is rated for (3000 gallons) enabling me to not need too many extra filters in backup. The assembly and installation of this is quite easy as it has hose fittings for the most common sink water lines and of course if you have a different size valve for your water, then you might need to pick up an adapter hose or fitting. The filter has 2 AA batteries in it which only power the timer light which notifies you of what it thinks is a good filter replacement time. Taking the filter out of the base sounds easy, but can require a bit of maneuvering to actually pop out the filter cartridge. Putting a new cartridge in is very easy though. The filter is described as a carbon block sediment filter, so depending on your water, may or may not remove all things that make the taste bad. You need to know what your water taste problem is prior to investing in this particular filter and if a simple carbon sediment filter will work for it. But all in all this should do a pretty good job at drinking water filtration. I personally would not use it on a sink which has lots of non-drinking activities. That is why I installed it attached to a drinking water faucet only.

Simple NSF/ANSI certified under-sink filtration system to improve tap water taste, reduce lead and cysts. Don't know how they have pulled this off, but it really lives up to the "easy flow" name -- doesn't seem to restrict the flow at all. Hookup is dead simple -- just disconnect your cold water supply line and install this in line, turn the water back on and run it for 15 min. and you're good to go. We have city water, and we noticed an immediate improvement in terms of chlorine taste. Don't know if performance is enough to stand up to a poorer quality water source, but for our purposes -- we're mostly interested in better taste and some extra insurance against lead -- this is perfect. If a filter lasts about a year, as advertised, it's well worth the cost. Highly recommended.

This Pentair Freshpoint water filtration system for the kitchen sink was so easy to install. After checking all the parts, each hose connected easily to the other. It took all of fifteen minutes after clearing a space under the sink. The only tools needed were the two wrenches included for tightening. Two included AA batteries were installed under the unit with the tiny included screwdriver. Nothing leaked when the water was turned on. I turned on the faucet and let it run for fifteen minutes as instructed. After the fifteen minutes, I filled a clear glass with the water. There were no particles floating around and the water was fresh and had no bad taste. Even though this filter is supposed to last a year, I thought last night as I was washing pots and pans that a lot of filtered water will go to unneeded tasks. Of course there was unfiltered hot water in the mix and using hot water will not use up any of the filters capacity, but in general a lot will be used. On the other hand, I was using filtered water for my humidifiers and that took a long time coming from the refrigerator filter. It will be good for watering plants, filling up steam irons, coffee pots and anything else filtered water is wanted. This is a better use of space than the type I used to have that stood tall on the countertop and attached to the faucet. It is also more convenient than the refillable pitchers. I like that it removes the chlorine smell and taste, but also the contaminants, lead, and other poisons that are in our drinking water. I do wonder, however if it removes the fluoride.
