It includes a sediment pre-filter system with mounting hardware, and bacterial static media stops bacterial growth. For more filtration, it lowers chlorine by 95.93%. Rust-resistant stainless steel construction ensures lasting use.

                Failed after 7 years
                The water filter was relatively easy to set up and install. It treated all of my household water for 5 years, after which I replaced the carbon media. A year and a half later, the Pentair tank began to leak, causing minor flooding in the garage. I am replacing my whole house water filter system, but I won’t be using the Pentair PC 600. i’ve found a six-year system very similar to Pentair and will be using that at about 40%. The cost of the PC 600. I am somewhat disappointed in this unit.

                  Impossible Installation
                  I redid the plumbing on my entire house and the connections for this make no sense. Neither filter is set up in any way to accomodate pex or copper or cpvc, you need adapters (which pentaire is happy to sell you for $200) to connect the filters to any standard pipe system. They must have had a contest to see how many different connections they could use on one appliance.

                    Super filter set and a huge improvement of the drinking water quality at every sink faucet. Very glad I switched from a single point under sink filter to a whole house filter. I also installed and plumbed the filter per attached schematic which allowed me to flush and back-flush the filter after it was installed dry.

                    I have not yet installed this particle filter purchased for my daughter; however, I have one I installed five years ago and it’s still working fine. We have awful Florida water, which smells bad, and tastes worse, and this filter rids the water of both. Much better when taking a shower too. Not sure when I will eventually need to replace the carbon media, but so far there has been no change in our water quality since originally installing.

                    I bought this as a replacement for my old Pelican...
                    I bought this as a replacement for my old Pelican system. Dealers for Pentair were no help, just wanted to sell me a much more expensive unit or they didn’t know anything about it. The headquarters did respond to an email the very next day so that was good but they don’t sell directly to an individual. After much study, I found the PC 600 to be a clone of the out of business Pelican. It was a direct replacement.
