This patented innovation allows assembly of 4 different transition types from a single product, saving you time and money. That means you can be sure you'll always have the right piece when you start your installation. Use in doorways or join 2-sections of hard surface flooring with an equal height with the T-molding. Use as a reducer to transition from vinyl plank to tile, laminate or hard surfaces of a different height. The end-molding configuration allows you to transition to carpet or to finish your flooring installation at sliding doors, fireplaces or other fixed edges. For best results, try laying out your moldings in the area where they will be installed before installing flooring planks. Bad design, worse materials - total fail
I'm a carpenter so this isn't my first floor installation. The product is supposed to clip into place but the materials make this impossible. The groove side is rigid hard brittle plastic while the tongue is soft pliable rubber/plastic. It is physically impossible to seat this. Very likely based on some positive reviews that this is totally dependent on whichever production run you happen to get. This garbage that I bought is total trash. This is why the ocean is full of plastic.

Terrible product.
The instructions on how to use this are absolutely horrible. The T track piece is very flimsy and broke during installation so now I can’t even use it. Glad that I nailed it down instead of gluing it like the instructions said to so I can remove it. $100 down the drain. Do not buy this product.

Looks good!
Purchased this transition piece to go between our tile and vinyl flooring. The match was perfect! We had quite the drop in height between the flooring and tile, but the transition went in perfectly and it looks great!

This Chiffon trim does not match the Chiffon Procore flooring we bought at Depot. Granted, they are different brands, but we special ordered the trim figuring it would be a good match. I can say that we got the Mist color (which matched the flooring) of this same brand trim, and the quality seems on par with other brands I have used.

I’m sure it is better for Home Depot to have a multi purpose product on hand to decrease the variations in inventory and decrease returns from shoppers who don’t know what they need and buy the wrong thing. The instructions could be a little clearer but the product works and looks good.
