At 1/2 the price of every other crimp tool, one might expect inferior quality. Not so. These work well and are very effective for occasional use, especially since they enable repairs and installations that would cost hundreds for a plumber. My only complaint is that they are slightly clumsy for use by a single person - but if you have a helper to hold the crimp ring in place (or maybe a piece of tape) while starting the ratcheting action, they work great!

My experience seems to mirror others when it comes to this tool. It seems well made and performed good (the crimp didn't leak) but, the tool has to be fully opened to engage the clamp and that's a problem if space is limited. I had to replace a friend's frost free hose bib but the space between the floor and the top of the foundation wall precluded using the tool. I had to crimp a length of pex to the hose bib before slipping it thru the house wall and into the cellar so that it extended beyond the foundation wall and then connect to the supply line with a shark bite connector.

Easy to use. I have the Crimp ring tool but as I get older I am not strong enough to use it in overhead positions, so I bought this tool to use when I am not able to use that tool.
