This was a little difficult for me to install. Unless you are good at plumbing you might consider having it installed. I got tired o having to replace the stoppers every couple of years and having to re connect the plumbing in back see like I never get the stuff right. Hardest part was getting the old stuff.off. Think it took me 2 hours to install it I do like the way it works so much better than the old system..

Solid brass, cleverly designed pop-up drain with push-button action. We have an upstairs sink that has a blocked-off overflow and limited space behind the basin. A pop-up drain makes much more sense than the usual ball and rod plunger design, and this works perfectly. A button in the center of the drain blocks the water (other models you press down the entire stopper assembly). This also allows you to install a cap cover to convert it to an always-open umbrella drain (make sure that's what you want, though; once you install the cap, it's permanent). Installation was pretty straightforward, although I wish the nut were a bit larger to allow for easier hand tightening. Another nice touch -- the tail pipe is separate from the threaded drain tube, and you can remove and trim it for a better fit. Smart. Overall, a well-made drain assembly with some thoughtful features and a reasonable price. Recommended.

This oil rubbed bronze drain assembly can be used as either a push-to-close/open sink drain or as an umbrella drain that is always open. For the umbrella mode, there is a cap included to be installed on the top to hide the push button. The entire assembly is made of a solid brass. This drain is for sinks without the overflow feature. The push-in plug can be removed by pulling the umbrella up, which is handy for drain cleaning. The push button has a latch. The latch moves easily, and stays firm in place when pushed in or is out. Overall quality of the product is good and feels reliable.

I recently ordered and received the PF Waterworks 1-1/4 in push pop-up drain to replace a broken pop-up drain in our bathroom sink. The replacement drain is very high quality as it is made of metal, not plastic (like our old pop-up). The drain was truly a breeze to install taking only a few minutes. It comes with all the necessary hardware for a quick and easy drip free installation. Our bathroom sink does not have an overflow, so this drain was just the ticket. If you are in need of a high quality, replacement for a pop up drain, I would very highly recommend the PF Waterworks drain.

I have very mixed feelings about this Deco DRAIN 2-in-1 Sink Drain can be used as either Push Pop-Up Drain or Always Open Umbrella Drain. The major cons I did not like is the installation part. The top rubber seal does not seat properly so I ended not using the seal and used plumbers putty instead. The pop up drain is nice but if you cleaner top to use the umbrella option the pop up will stay open and you cannot close the drain. The pro side is the whole pop up can be easily remove for cleaning and hopefully the rubber seal will last a long time.

Hello Aris - Thanks for the inputs - It appears you misunderstood the product a bit so we would like to clarify. This is a 2-in-1 model which can be used as Push Drain or Umbrella Drain. Any customer using this would only use it one way tor the other - the reason to create the product is to optimize the space in store as it is difficult for retailers to carry umbrella and push drains in all finishes and in most cases they don't offer both products in finish options since the space availability is limited - so this 2-in-1 product allows retailers to meet the customer needs without needing more space. Secondly - as advised in the instructions, the gasket provided on the top is optional and is included to make life easy for those who don't want to deal with plumber's putty. This is a well made product, all brass, and the weight of it gives it a good feel. Color was not an exact match but it was certainly close enough.
Remember- this is for a sink with NO overflow. That is the little hole in the front of the sink right in front of where you stand. If you have an overflow hole in your sink you will need a different model of this.

Cool drain.......has a real solid and heavy feel to it, so it looks and feel high quality. I like the 2 option of either fully open OR you can have the push close option...which I think is better in case you need to close the drain. But all it takes is an easy on and off cap to change between the two options. pretty smart, if you ask me. easy directions, so this is a no brainer.

This is a good replacement for standard ball rod popup drains. It works well and is relatively easy to install as you don't have to reach under and all the way to the back where the standard popup drain rod is located. This one also comes with what they call an Always Open Umbrella Drain for use by those without an overflow drain. The cap prevents the drain from ever closing. The drain clicks open or closed and doesn’t leak. The easily removable stopper is a nice benefit. I like and recommend it.
