Hello - this should work in standard 1-1/4" and 1-1/2" tub drain shoes - the nominal Dia for the 1-1/2" tub shower is closer to 1.75" Please contact us at support@pfwaterworks.com with a picture and measurement and we can provide suitable inputs. Thanks.
Hello Jeff, Looks like the torque isn’t getting to the bottom due to some reason possibly the stopper becoming loose or the bottom screw being cross threaded. Try to first unscrew the chrome cap by turning it counterclockwise and then you will see a brass bolt. You may need to hold the bottom part in place (restrict it from turning with the cap) by inserting a screwdriver or finger. Once you see the brass bolt you can use a flathead screwdriver to rotate it counterclockwise. Try with stopper open and close either of the position. Try to restrict the bottom white telescopic parts from turning when doing this by inserting a screwdriver in the drain between the white part and the drain shoe. Hopefully, this will allow the torque to get to the bottom. It is possible that the whole stopper may get disassembled in doing so. If that happens don’t worry. Just keep all parts and we will send you instructions to put it back together. Please contact us at support@pfwaterworks.com if you face such situation Once you get it out, use a little locktite or nail paint in the threads at the bottom of the stopper body and make sure to use the spring washer between the bottom threads and brass fitting and tighten the fitting into the stopper bottom using a screwdriver. This will keep the fitting tightened and help mitigate this situation. Let us know if this helps. If not, please contact us and we will provide suitable support. Thanks
No - you don't have to use the strainer - it is optional -
Please remove the top cap by unscrewong it counter click wise. Use a screw driver to open the flat head stud inside. If the complete stopper body is rotating then you can insert a screwdriver between the body and the shoe to provide some friction. It is possible that the stopper may disassemble completely. Please contact us at salea@pfwaterworks.com if this happens. Thanks.
Please contact us at sales@pfwaterworks.com and we will share the instructions and a video. Thanks.
